Lots of developer money from Melbourne & Sydney has been invested here since the 1980s.

Its changed so much, we rented half a house (down stairs part ) in 1974 it cost $38 a week but had to mow the lawns, garbage out, keep outside tidy. worked cutting cane, 6 days a week spent the rest of our time chasing chicks. 😇

Always windy at Palm Cove, it was slightly chilly when I was there end of July 2022, I had to wear my jumper as too windy, I could feel some chill, all the other northern beaches were warmer as calm winds.

Palm cove was infinitely more beautiful in the sixties before the plastic people claimed it. Now it's just another tourist la la land.

Winter water is the only danger. The sensitive locals can't swim in their own tropical beaches 😭
