I absolutely love Sum-41. Both them and Smashing Pumpkins give me a huge nostalgia feeling for something I've never lived. Listening to them singing about their teens, past experiences, and with such passion, makes me all tingly inside missing for something.

I was stunned when this song released...this is a band I grew up with that I had totally neglected for the past decade... and here they are again with this banger of a song. Let's say that my spotify playlist got updated with alot of Sum41 :P

Their album "does this look infected" was what I would define as the album of my childhood. Love these guys.

1:06 - El Camino is a reference to the line in Fat Lip: "Storming through the party like my name was El Niño When I'm hanging out drinking in the back of an El Camino"

This is a big throw back to all this stuff they used to do themselves and tape it, I believe it's on their earlier MVs! They have so many bangers you probably didn't look into yet, looking forward to watching your reactions! Some of my recs are: Blood In My Eyes, Fake My Own Death, War and Out For Blood.

Hey, hi Ray! I have a suggestion if you'd be so kind to give it a shot. It's "Diga, parte 2", from band Fresno, and the Studio 62 version. Fresno is a rock band from Brazil, but this specific version is just the singer and a guitar. A small backstory about the song, "Diga, parte 2" means "Say, part 2" Originally, "Say" was a song about love and about missing a person when you aren't with them. But then, the singer discovered that his girlfriend had been cheating on him, so he renamed it to "Say, part 1" and made "Say, part 2". It is a very powerful and angst-filled song. His voice screams sadness. You can find the english translated lyrics online, but I'd happily provide them should you be interested. Thank you!

great reaction and really interesting interpretation that the current band playing at the prom might symbolize their past dream of playing on such a stage themselves someday! was "underclass hero" (the album on which "with me" was on) your introduction to sum 41? also, if you haven't heard it already, i'm really curious for you reaction to olivia rodrigo's "ballad of a homeschooled girl"

It was actually Fat Lip!! I don't think I've heard of the Olivia Rodrigo song!

6 months ago you reacted to Angelina Jordan when she was 9. She is 17 now and her original single "Now I'm the fool" from her EP "Old enough" will quite possibly blow your mind. As will the entire EP.❤️🔥🇨🇦

Wow! She grew up quite fast didn't she? She grew 8 years in just 6 months. O: (jokes aside, I do support this)

Man, I wish for the day when punk rock and alternative music in general makes all the rap just go away. I'm sick and tired of rap being everywhere and miss this type of music.

The comment you made about these bands coming back doesn’t apply to Sum 41, they’ve been quite active and this album is their last album and will be disbanding after their world tour of the new album in 2024
@rayactions Жыл бұрын
I did not know that! 😭

@@rayactions Yup it’s sad but they’ve had a great run. A double album to end their career is a good way to go!

@@KevinQ25 Man, I wish Steve Jocz would play with them at least one last time. I don't think I'm asking for a lot, am I? He's been pretty active on IG lately, and drumming live with The Vandals. I would give my left nut to see them play together again.
@KevinQ257 ай бұрын
@@_nopestr Yeah, would be nice, but the only way I can see it is for a song or two at the very last show. Who knows, I know the last time I heard he was living in Australia so could be difficult. He toured with The Vandals in Japan this year which is a lot closer than NA, if he’s still in Aus.
@_nopestr7 ай бұрын
@@KevinQ25 Yeah, both Vandals and Sums were at Punkspring. I wonder if they met. And travelling from Australia would not be that bad, considering that the brief reunion would certainly be a big deal. Also, Steve has been playing a lot of Sum 41 songs on IG. It might be that he's doing it for the fans, but also - maybe he's practicing for a show? Nevertheless, it would be a fantastic exit, if Sums really do disband (we've seen that not being true before 😉).
