📋 Puzzle Rules:
• Normal Sudoku rules apply.
• Sum Line: Box borders split blue lines into sections, and the digits on those sections must sum to the same value. Different lines may have different sums.
• Kropki Pairs: Digits separated by a black dot must be in a 2:1 ratio. Digits separated by a white dot must be consecutive.

7:30 The right vertical band has these features. Call the three-box line sum X, and call the two-box line sum Y, we get 2X + Y = 45. This forces roping, and the three dotted section sums to Y as well. Y must be odd, so that section is 124. 15:40 Same on the left, the three-dot sum (Y) has to be odd, for 2X + Y = 45. That forces the middle cell to be odd, and it can't be 1, 3, or 9. It must be 5 or 7. 25:50 Right after you said, "I'm stuck," the commercial broke in.

Great puzzle and solve! Solved it in 33:10. In fact the 9-long blue sum lines force roping in those columns. This is because, say, in column 2, where do the digits in r123789c2 go in box 4? They can't go into column 2, and there are only three places in column 1, so three of them must go onto the blue line (r456c3). Hence at least one of the blue lines (r123c2 or r789c2) has at least two of its digits on the blue line in box 4. But their sums are the same, so the third digits must also be the same, and this will already force roping on the columns.

27:00 there is an "easier" way of doing that. look at box 7 or col 3. you need to make 2 triples, each of which sums to 12. where does the 9 go? with 1&2, leaving, 3,4,5. thus there are only TWO configurations, and therefore, the first 3 columns ARE roped. etc.

I needed just a bit of help with the noting of the same sums for the left and right boxes, but after that the rest of the puzzle went smoothly for me, finishing at 20:13 (conflict checker off). Definitely a very wonderful puzzle from bellsita, enjoyed it a lot!

I don't understand, why you are "scanning" in this puzzles. It's not a spot the difference puzzle, it's logical puzzle, you should deduct, not scan. If you get a digit in 1 spot, you should check row, column etc, you don't need to scan.

“Scanning” is synonymous with checking rows/columns/boxes. Also, in most puzzles, one needs to “scan” the grid to consider what to focus on next.
