DNA replication in eukaryotes 4 | Replication termination and telomerase - This lecture explains the mechanism of telomerase enzyme to fix the end replication problem of the linear eukaryotic DNA. At the end of replication, linear DNA of eukaryotes get shorter and shorter which creates problem for the deletion of important information in the gene and may cause aging. Telomerase enzyme helps in elongation parental dna strand so that the newly synthesized DNA can be of proper length. This is known as the end replication problem in eukaryotes and telomerase enzyme fix this at the end of eukaryotic DNA replication also called the DNA replication temination.
