The salary you mentioned is the basic salary structure. Gross salary includes 42% DA , 18 to 27 % HRA dependinging on the location and also travel allowance ranging from 3600 to 7200 depending on the city in which one is posted and also same percentage of DA on travel allowance . So the total salary is basic + DA + HRA + TA + DA on TA= 57700+ 24234+10386+3600+1620= 97540. This ia gross salary and after the deduction of income tax and nps etc inhabd salary remains around 78000 to 80000 Also% of TA and HRA depends upon the city u are posted in. cities are classified as X,Y and Z

This is basic salary, to id add 46℅ DA and 9℅ HRA, So in hand salary of new joinee is almost 80k in hand.

Sir you said after 12th you need minimum 12 years to get that asst prof position...but in some cases just after masters ( obviously with csir net) people get that position....and they do PhD partially while being in service...Sir what about that ?? Plz reply 🙏

Atleast, 2 year probation and then permanent recruitment should be the procedure. Because even after giving so much efforts into an exam like CSIR NET, not getting a permanent job is demoralising. What are your thoughts?

You are right. Struggling in contractual since past 4 years even after clearing NET just after PG and now I have completed PhD also. I was in the same dilema pursuing PhD abroad and returned back to India last year. With riiht credentials, there are many private univiersitites (there has been tremedous growth of them in last 10 years after I left india) offering similar salary structure as 7th pay nowadays so I am quite happy. The salary that I would have got abroad in Europe in a similar post would have been 3 times higher at max which is nothing cz of taxes and cost of living there. So, with one third salary here in India, you could have same standard of living basically.

12-13 saal gadhe ki tarah padhai karo .. competitions crack karo...labs me majduri kro ...guide ki gaali suno...post doc v compulsory h sir....itni mehnat k baad sirf 50 hajar? Aur professor ko v bas around ek lakh. Research me bilkul chaupat career h india me ..garibi ki jindagi lekin mehnat khachar jitni. Simple btech vala 4-5 saal experience se ek lakh bana leta h. Mere papa bahut piche pde the teaching i mean professor bnja lekin mai janti thi paisa nhi usme. Shukar h bsc k baad MBA kar li...meri starting hi 68 thousand h.
