Just looking at these artifacts is enough for me. You look at cave paintings and primitive sculptures and art and just can’t help but think…something this detailed was faceted by a civilization THAT old…just really changes your perspective. You can’t help but think: this civilization was/is developed enough to have had amazing architecture, political systems and science of some sort. I mean, seriously. I am Native American and part of our lore is the Anunaki(correct spelling?), but then there was also the lore of "the mountain people" people that live IN the mountains. The biggest take away for me from seeing a culture so quickly become advanced with a deep heritage and history, is it reflects historical heritage. If Sumer is the first, then why does it carry tales from long, long before it? To legitimize leadership? Or, perhaps reflects an inherited cultural past worthy of exploring? I think you're right. A Sumerian origin myth has the "first man" walking up out of the Persian Gulf, who then gives the Sumerians their cultural and technological heritage, as well as their language. This would have been about the same time as the last melting of most recent the ice age (10 -12 thousand years ago). Given that the sea level rose significantly at that time, it is speculated that perhaps there are ruins underwater near the coastlines of the Persian Gulf that predate even the Ubaida culture (which is seen as the precursor to the Sumerians and lived in the area around Ur). Combine this with the fact that the Sumerian language is an isolate - it is not related to Akkadian, the Aramean languages, the Indo European languages or any other group. So where did the Sumerians get their language from? It's highly unlikely that a full-blown culture with fully developed writing, arts, mythology and history just spontaneously springs out of nowhere. Unfortunately, due to global warming, the sea level of the Persian Gulf will rise significantly before it drops again, making it even more unlikely that the expensive and difficult underwater archaeology that would have to be done to answer these questions will get done any time soon. Compounding the difficulty is the fact that all the governments that now control this area are Islamic, and therefore don't have much interest in the archaeological roots of Sumer.

The current scientific understanding of the Grand Canyon in the USA, and the Washington scablands (near where I live), is that they formed when great lakes which had been contained by ice dams broke though the ice as it melted and flooded down through those areas, scouring out the canyons and rock formations that are there today. So it may not have been one global flood, but many great floods that happened around the same time across the world as the ice melted about 12 -10 thousand years ago. There definitely would have been humans alive that witnessed these great events and passed down stories of them to later generations.

Plausible deductions can be made thus: Jews descend from Israelites; who descend from Hebrews; who descend from Abraham; who before was known as 'Abram'; called out of Ur of the Chaldees in Mesopotamia; began the Yahwist religious lineage, at a time and period where the oral traditions of competing gods, their offspring and influences were still topical. No it doesn’t. The Sumerians would never have said descended. First of all they didn’t have verbs and more importantly they had very direct way of speaking. They would say it like Air then land. Because Air is first that’s where it started and because it goes from Air then Land if something went from land to air then land is fires. Ideas like an action verb did exist. Ascend or descend is an action and unnecessary for the way they spoke and wrote. I’m not arguing that it’s real or not. You would just understand how their writing becomes twisted by some by implying modern terms from English. Same as hands and feet where not distinct they just had a single word like we would say appendage. That would be arms or legs. I spent 4 and a half years learning it, just as people want to argue that Nibiru is talking a planet, but it does not. It’s more accurate to say it represents two things laid across each other. You can call it a crossing but they wouldn’t have thought of it that way. This is why why I hate that ancient aliens and the likes makes their argument look very stupid. Lots of early language is like this and still today languages exist like this today. Modern English was the language of laws and lawyers and that’s why it’s so complicated with words to represent almost every single thing. Older languages never acted in this way because it’s not necessary. I speak 3 languages fluently and read a couple so I understand how English and Spanish speakers find this odd.

At about 22:25 when he is describing gods it sounds very similar to a few other religions. Akhenaten and the Solar disc. The God depicted with a long white beard could be either Christianity or Abraham of the Bible. The Sumerians weren't the first civilization to look at the anunnaki as their god. Aratta was only a myth to the Sumerians, but a find found out that myth was a reality. The ancient site that was excavated was found to be at least 22,000 years old. That these myths were written as real is no wonder, I mean so is Moses talking to a burning bush and angels written in bible too, for an example. The man points at the symbol of Nibiru, an eight beamed 'star ' and we see the same symbol on his necklace, next to a square cross.
