I am an old fart who knows very little of modern music. I love Sabbath, Priest, Maiden, Megadeth, Slayer, Morbid Angel. But surely this has to be one of the best albums in the 2010s. The modern metal, growls, clean singing, 80s Depeche Mode influence, dark symphony orchestra sounds… so versatile and complex, yet it flows so naturally and effortlessly. The songs are great and nothing seems to be used excessively. Never heard anything like it before. Wonderful album.

Yorick Mori Recording for everything but Mike's vocals were finished in 2016. Heard an unmixed version without any of Mike's vocals last year. The album's pretty fucking good (although one track has me worried, there were almost no vocals from Ken, and it sounded almost old school Periphery-ish in the riffing, so I'm concerned with how Mike's vocals will sound on that particular track).

The first time I listened to this, I had my volume almost cranked through the headphones....Those kick drums are more brutal on the ears than a click track rolling at 100% volume. Love the song as a whole, but I really hope they remix the drums a bit. Add some more low end to the kick drums with EQ'ing, and reduce the poppy trigger sound/over-compression. Still a better mix then I could ever dream of throwing together....The bass in this track sounds killerrrrr.

Regardless of what anybody says, a good and true fan will; learn to appreciate and enjoy the direction in which the band has gone. Or accept that this is the direction their creativity took them and maybe it's just not what you initially like about their first record(s). IMO, as a fan since PD, I really like this new stuff! It's everything they were but we're getting the picture of how they can evolve and blend what they've done with stuff no ones doing. Summer Slaughter favorite!

At the level that his playing at, knowing his background. I mean he comes from family of musicians. Despite his personality and whether anyone likes him or not, he is capable of playing anything and I'm personally glad that he keeps his inspirations from really great artists. He could become another "rock'n'roll let's party because nothing else matters", He is trying to create something bigger.
