Honestly, I fucking nutted and cried hearing this album (Yeah I'm not ashamed of fucking saying that) I have been a huge fan of Black Veil Brides since 2011 I was 10 years old around that time they helped me get through the death of my dad. Still to this day they are one of my favorite bands of all time and to see this album get remastered not only does it bring back childhood memories this is a beautiful fucking masterpiece! This album gets a 10/10 from me the instruments are *GODLIKE* and Andy's vocals are just as great as always. #BVBforever 🤘🏼🔥🖤

@Jerry Naylor a lot of bands used the same writing method during the era of early 2000's metalcore. A7x Unholy Confessions just happens to be the most famous one. Id like to add that I can play both Unholy Confessions and Knives and Pens and I can say with certainty that they're not the same. The only reason people think that is because both songs use the formula of the drop D tuning and alternate picking between the 6th and 5th string which was a super common writing style during the time both songs were written. Funny enough Knives and Pens is actually more technical than Unholy Confessions.

I’d say another reason the screams sound so quiet is because KZbin had compressed the audio so much. This entire sold would probably sound better if you managed to download it in lossless or full quality

Think KZbin made the screams worse but even on streaming platforms, the screams are still mixed pretty bad but not to the point when it’s this bad

All of his screams are so low in the mix. I don't think he knows how to scream anymore which is fair because he really hasn't done any since this album 11 years ago.

I think some of it is production, and some of it is Andy smoking for so long. Either way they don't have the same punch as the original

@@AmitySpells I can confirm he knows how to scream. My experience is that he primarily does them live - wife and I saw them in Montreal a few years ago with asking and his screams surprised the shit out of us.
