Sumeru archon quest is by far the best Archon quest we ever experienced so far. Here is why, -Have 5 acts instead of 3 - Each act take 6 hours to finish but almost no wasted dialouge - Traveller speak a lot more - Unique story telling with Honkai Impact 3rd style - Different perspective, eg Nilou and Cyno perspective - Amazing buildup - A HELL LOT OF CUTSCENE - The most emotional quest we have so far - Even the ending is not rush - Huge lore bomb from Nahida - Nahida is the only Archon that give traveller some clue about his/her twin Please add more if I missed some.

I agree! I also loved how the end of the quest circled back to the beginning, both with the Samsara and being able to see all the characters again. It was so nice for characters like Alhaitham, Dehya and Cyno to have a lot of screen time instead of showing up for just one part and then leaving, and we even get to see Dunyarzad again. While I did actually enjoy Inazuma, Sumeru is such an upgrade!

Definitely Sumeru's arc is my favorite so far. Every single character was taken so well even the NPCs like Haypasia and Dunyarzad were so good on the plot. This is actually feel like they all were a team and work together and was shown in the actual quest more than conversations like I'm the other Archon's quests. Nilou was the one from the main characters that at the beginning did no have a important role but eve she was a good piece in the board at the end. I'm just satisfied with this arc. 😌

I always root for underdogs, and Nilou is one imo. She’s important in the early parts of the arc though because the Akademiya’s manipulation of her dream for the Samsara is critical to the plot. :)

dunyarzad should’ve been playable, she has so much character :( and her dynamic with dehya is really sweet. i would love to see her be more than an npc but it’s so unlikely she’ll ever be a playable character. she has a complex relationship with her family and has met nahida multiple times in her dreams. She’s also a survivor of Eleazar and Collei is the only playable character who’s had eleazar, so they could have something in common. All of these make dunyarzad feel rly important! as much as i love nilou, if she as a stage performer is important enough to be a 5* in sumerus cast, and collei (who’s been possessed by dead gods in lore and is a survivor of dottores expirements) is a 4*, then i think dunyarzad has the depth to at least be playable, because she has a lot more growth than nilou gets.

I have been hearing alot of people talk about how nahida is rukka... even though she's not? When doing a normal playthrough of Chapter III act V I was extreamly confused as rukka saying nahida is her reincarnation doesn't match up with clues we had before (act I-IV), however after re-reading through the voicelines and substituted some of key words like "moon" "sun" "dreams" out for other words where we know what or who they are referring to, it makes alot more sense. One of the most important thing i found was the word "you are my incarnation" said by greater lord rukkhadevata, now Incarnation and Reincarnation is like antonyms of each other, they are very different. Have a look at google's definition to try to understand the relation abit more, it's complicated but we (people who's also interested in lore theories) have a pretty strong bias towards who Nahida actually is, and it actually changes the entire perspective we had on nahida as an archon, an entity, and a God. It also makes rukka look like shit cuz of what they did to Nahida, although she "cured" Eleazer, however it could've been prevented in the first place if she isn't so selfish. You can really understand the lore through nahida's voicelines and furthermore understand her voicelines through the speculated lore. I would go into more and back up my claim and also state who we think nahida is however I cant fit that much in a yt comment and also don't want to potentially spoil the game for people who doesn't want to know. :)

because those other cutscenes are epic and intense, they're meant to keep you on the edge of the seat. nilou's dance is not epic, it's not thrilling, it's a simple yet beautifully captivating act that is best enjoyed without talking over it, and same goes for the cutscene in which nahida deletes rukkhadevata from irminsul, its not meant to be something epic, but sad and heartbreaking, something that sinks in best in silence

Inazuma is what I will say a “hard coded story” . Mihoyo didn’t elaborate it properly thus didn’t understand whats going on & thus BOOM ..People can’t even decode it properly . Mihoyo got to know that they have to spoonfeed the Audience since Audience don’t have the capacity to understand things & jump into their own conclusions & interpretation.That’s why they create flashback & stuff to reminds you what’s going on .

I'm simply glad they got a redemption to their writing through Sumeru. The two stories (Inazuma & Sumeru) are very similar. Sumeru, this time, was done better.
