Beautifully sung with amazing control and phrasing. Her solid technique makes this difficult aria sound easy and enabled her to shape each phrase with a palette of colors and emotions. I forgot, for once, how difficult this aria is and heard the aria with fresh ears. A dazzling interpretation.

oh god!Up to now,i considered Fleming's the best rendition of this aria.And,though im not a fan of Sumi Jo,i just have to state that this is the most moving,harmonic, etherial version of this ecstatic aria!

Hey - go easy there. I'm a European & hero-worship Sumi Jo - she's the greatest talent & most beautiful lady around in the arts scene. The Koreans (I mean the South Koreans) also have a lot going for them in music: Claude Choe, Sarah Chang, Richard ..O'Neill, Jasmine Choi, Soyoung Yoon. Unfortunately, Europeans no longer have that can-do attitude & are suffering generally because of it
