I had the absolute shock of my life last Thursday night when I was at Dollywood taking a picture of my 2 oldest kids and heard the voice of a man apologizing for photobombing our picture. I recognized that voice, looked up, and sure enough it was Gil Bates! I got to meet your parents who were there for your brother’s birthday. Your mom and dad are the SWEETEST people. I got to tell your dad how we had more kids because of watching y’all’s show. It was so so fun! I also got to meet Callie, such a cutie! Seriously I couldn’t even sleep that night cuz I was so excited to have met your family! 🥹

I couldn't have children for 18 years. I waited. God answered . Was given a miracle in one night then got pregnant two months later. I know the pain, emptiness and the desire. You both handle it with such grace. I am in awe of you. I know the sting of watching everyone else have children for us to love. Inside we weep and wonder why. Your love for God and your family and all those babies is stronger than the pain. I wish i could take the longing from you. Your kindness is amazing and you both are truly a light in this world. I don’t know how they can bear it. I wanted to be a mom from as early as I can remember. We have 7 children on earth and at least 2 in heaven. I still always wanted more of them. They are saints. Honestly.

​@KeilenCorner I have a blood clotting disorder and we were told having a baby would likely kill me. My husband said he couldn't handle that. Several years after we found out, my parents adopted 5 siblings 8- 13 while they were in their 60's. We helped my parents with those kids so often, and it's like having very special niece and nephews. My second youngest sister and I are super close and she called me mama, and mom was mom for several years.

What a blessing you both are! My last birth was twins who spent 10 days after their birth in the ICU. I was there as much as I could for them but had 3 boys already. To know hospitals have a cuddling program brings me such peace and happiness. God bless you two! You are such servants and bring such honor to the Lord!

I'm in my early 60's and planned on working for a very long time because I loved my job, but now I am disabled (like Papa Bill, but earlier stages- my diagnosis is Lewy Body, like Robin Williams had). Your videos keep me company, and I look forward to each release. I am so happy that you guys get to volunteer at the Children's Hospital, it's great that you get to cuddle babies and comfort children and families. Bless you both. ❤❤❤

In medical school in Philadelphia, many of us volunteered to cuddle babies who were born infected with HIV. It was the early 90s, so many people were still fearful of being near anyone infected with HIV which unfortunately included newborns. Also, some of the mothers abandoned the babies or lost custody of them because of their "high risk" lifestyles, which often included drugs, prostitution and other issues.

I think it is amazing what you are doing with the Nicu. There are snugglers at both Brigham and women’s and Boston children’s we live over 7 hours away last month we brought our 15th baby into the world and we needed to travel like you said in a hurry. We are blessed and are temporarily moving closer about 2 hours away. I see what a blessing the snugglers are to families.

My baby was in the NICU. I think cuddlers are amazing, I was blessed to get a room in the NICU 5 days postpartum and I was able to stay there there whole time until he got out while my mum looked after my eldest son and my husband bounced back and forth between the NICU and being with our eldest son which worked out well and he would bring me what I needed so I didn’t ever have to leave but for a lot of people that isn’t possible or they don’t have that support and their babies are left alone 😢

It has been a few years since we have been to Dollywood, but at the time, we watched a show that was absolutely amazing! A clear representation of the Lord and the Gospel. At the end people were on their feet, hands raised… and in a time when it feels like some of the liberties that we hold dear are slipping through our fingers, there we were at Dollywood exalting the Lord Jesus! Greetings from the middle of Nebraska!! And speaking of Nebraska, you must go and visit Jana and her new husband in Nebraska and make a special trip to the #1 zoo in America! The Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha just a short ways from where Jana lives. Your summer activities look so fun especially being able to be around so much family. I'm so impressed with Nathan being a pilot and being able to get family to and from! The black and white video of Michaela as a child is precious! Something I've learned through having a life filled with trauma of various kinds is to treasure what you do have when you're hurting over what you do not have. That is NOT to minimize what you long for in any way, but to find joy in those times by realizing the blessings you already have. I live with brain tumor symptoms 24/7, have had 10 brain surgeries and will need them the rest of my likely-shortened life (I'm 38 right now), and will never have a family of my own. Even if I somehow got married tomorrow, I'd never want to pass my medical issue on to a child, and no way would I qualify to adopt. But I am positive I'll never marry because I'm housebound and I also wouldn't want to make any man my caretaker from the beginning. ("In sickness and in health" is real, but I think going into a relationship where you have never been able to give what the other person would have to give, from day one, is different.) I hope you guys are able to rejoice in having each other through the moments when you yearn to have a child as well. As much as I'd love children, I'd really love a husband and knowing I won't have one or the children I dreamed of raising all my life crushes me more than words can say, especially watching almost everyone around me have "their person." And in turn, I have to know that I have extended family others would long for so I'm blessed in that way when others are not. It's all a matter of finding the blessings you do have while mourning the ones you don't. I hope you are able to find those blessings and that they are balm in the pain you do experience. And of course, live in hope that one day those prayers will be answered in the way you hope.

I was born in Newport, Arkansas, but have lived in TN since I was approximately 13 years old. My mom and dad divorced when I was 9, so I traveled back and forth staying some with my mom in Arkansas and some with my dad in TN. As an adult my husband and I along with our children traveled to Arkansas many times. My mom remarried and moved to Conway. The drive from Memphis to their home was so boring and seemed like the drive took forever. It's really just flat farm land. I know Arkansas is beautiful around the Ozarks. I think the Duggars are maybe closer to the Oklahoma side of Arkansas and I don't think I've ever been to that part of Arkansas. If I have been it's when I was very young and don't remember. Glad you guys enjoyed your trip. Jana's wedding was beautiful and she looked gorgeous.

Love seeing all that you two been doing! Congratulations on your new job Brandon! I am so happy you both are volunteering at the hospital that is so good for you both and for all the littles ye meet. I used to volunteer at the hospital, and it was amazing I was doing what they called Smiles, and you got to go to all the rooms 18 & under and give out a gift to make their day I got to pick them out. I did some newborn photography and then out of the blue one day was ready to go to church and got an urgent call from the hospital and needed me to come and snuggle a newborn baby while mom was in surgery. When I got to the hospital my volunteer badge didn't work because my time had expired, they let me in anyways and since I was also a CNA at the time and had 25 years of working with children Newborn to 12 years of age, they asked me to give her a bath and trim her nails. I felt honored because they didn't just let anybody do that it was a God thing and He entrusted me to do that, I was honored. The baby was comfortable with me and was so chill but so was I so maybe that's why but totally a God thing! Plus, you get to pray for them. It may sound crazy, but I have been following you all since your TV show started and now follow most of you on KZbin and I was just thinking the other day that all of your Personalities really show & come out so personable including Mom & Dad Bates that I feel I already know all of you it is crazy! I have been manifesting to meet you all one day I would love that so much! Even my youngest out of the blue said mom I would love to meet them and play with the kids and go check out the Tennessee Baptist Church out. We thought about moving to Tennessee but don't want to leave our Grandbabies. But I actual thought about it so much I had a dream that felt so real that I came and fellowshipped with you all and it was amazing! It would be awesome! Oh, Side Note I watch your dads' sermons on You Tube I started the Wednesday Night series. Thanks for sharing your life I love watching & learning from you both. You Both are such an amazing couple and deserve so much & more!
