@@TomKatStitchery there's definitely some pretty fabrics on there, on the website there's a link in each listing to a youtube video where you can see the owner of the store showing off the fabric too. It's always nice to see how a fabric stretches/drapes etc and how it looks right up close, takes the mystery out of online shopping and I really appreciate the effort that goes into creating those videos. And there's a weekly competition on their facebook page for a $25 gift card which is always nice. (Sounding like I could be affiliated or something! I'm not, but I do like the store )

I downloaded and printed out your Summer Capsule Wardrobe Checklist. Then I printed out the page of my colors with names from Color Guru. With a circle punch (your circles were 3/4" but I have a 7/8" circle punch) I punched out the colors I am using for my summer capsule and stuck them to the checklist. Since I am starting almost from scratch, I am sewing the Essentials first. I enjoyed seeing your plan in your colors and also your daughter's plan in a different color palette. You have inspired me to GET SEWING! Thanks, Whitney.

Thanks for all the capsule inspiration. It took a bit to translate in colours for me, but I think I'm there now! I'm a Calm Summer in Color Guru, and chose Soft Navy, Grey Green, Soft True White and Sweet Tart Pink as the colour scheme for my summer wardrobe. I'm currently sewing up some pieces in Soft Navy, then plan to switch to Grey Green. I'm doing basics but also a bit of florals too.

Looks great--lots of fun ideas! Is a full bust adjustment for a one piece tank suit a thing? I haven't been able to find a pattern with cup sizes that my daughter likes. I'm looking forward to seeing what swimsuit patterns you use
@TomKatStitchery2 жыл бұрын
While in theory, you should be able to do a dartless FBA on a tank pattern, I find that the real issue is the support needed inside. Cashmerette has the Ipwich Swimsuit that comes in both a two piece and one piece and has cup sizes, but it only comes in their 12-32 size range. I think I might try that one in the size 12 G/H cup and see if that works. The bikinis are a bit easier because it's easier to find them in cup sizes. I used the Greenstyle Creations North Shore and Surfside/Seaside patterns for my daughter. The Surfside/Seaside set had cup sizes so we were good there, but I did have to do an FBA for her on the North Shore top.
