In today's video, I am going to be showing you guys my updated summer curly hair routine! This humidity has been doing a number on my hair and so I had to switch up my routine a bit so that my hair could last more than 3 days in this heat and humidity so here is my routine!. Thanks for the update hair routine! i was still doing one of your old one finger coiling each individual curl now that my hair is like chin lenght stretch it would take me like 8 hours to do my thick, luscious fro! I'm gonna try this and save myself some time

So you double condition your hair? So to do it properly you use the regular conditioner first then the deep conditioner? Because I double condition when I use a conditioning mask.

Any recommendations for a final touch product i can spray on top off my hair after everything is done to reduce shrinkage/retain length? My curls look great for like the first 2 ish hours and then after that they don't really hang and start to come up more like a classic fro with faded sides, which isn't what I'm going for. What I've been doing lately is twists in the front of my face which retains my length mostly but I'd like to be able to do curls all around my head but actually have them hang for more than like 2 hours. It could be the humidity honestly. Length is around an inch below my chin pulled down all around my head, closer to 4a in the front, closer to 4b in the back. Any last touch products to make the style last longer??

Really depends on what products you’re using but generally the more products you have in your hair, the more it’s going to shrink up, particularly curly/kinky hair. You can try the tension method, basically letting your hair fully dry with product first then using heat from a blow dryer to pull your hair and extend it and add volume. You can look up videos on KZbin on how to do it.

I just wish you do a video of how you get your hair maintenance at the barbershop like what do you tell them to do to cut your hair cuz your afro looks good. Mines don't look like that 🤣🤣🤣

I haven’t been to a barbershop in like a year so I’m not sure I’d be the best person to make a video like that. I just regularly trip my ends to keep my hair at afro-length bc I’m not trying to grow my hair long and then I’m just mindful of the shape so that I can keep my hair round. When I used to go to a barber tho, I would just get a line up with a little taper fade around the edges and I would just show him a picture of one i liked and then he would just give me that and then also clean up my facial hair.

Does the Eco Styler really give that much hold? I have 3C but VERY coarse-thick hair and I’ve heard eco styler is like weak water. The Aussie Instant Freeze Gel or Moroccanoil Strong Gel is all I’ve used that works and actually has hold, for me.

The original Eco Stylers have good hold, that’s what he’s using in the video. They changed the ingredients a year ago and now it’s very weak. I think wet line xtreme is a good alternative for hold as well.

Wash it off with water.

What gel are you using? Gel usually wouldn’t show. Might need to add more water or the gel isn’t going well with your product.

@@gullyblanchard5750 is it possible that oil based leave in and oil based gel are not compatible but rather water based leave in and oil based gel works better? To answer your question I use eco gel styler oil based with an oil based leave in conditioner after I’ve let deep conditioner sit for 30min

I haven’t used them in forever!!!! I actually don’t think I ever used the conditioner. I remember years ago when I used the shampoo, I felt like it was a little drying but I don’t think I ever used the conditioner. Love the hair mask tho
