Also, I just love hearing about your history and your story, your grandparent's story too, indeed a testimony to God and His goodness indeed - so inspiring! I also resinate with you about the growing up in one place but being a different heritage, I grew up not feeling Australian but also not Italian enough either. Summer time is especially hard with summer storms. I’m not sure what housing management does in regards to the community areas. However, we don’t spray pesticides in our garden or surrounding the house. If we’re out back during the evening, we light a bonfire. Natural bug repellent is a must for sunset walks. Naturally, with the river, we also have a lot of dragonflies, which are natural mosquito predators. Our town has installed several bat houses within city limits. Along with outreach efforts to reduce light pollution, we’re seeing more and more bats too!
