We drive approximately 50miles for raw milk but we pay $5/gallon. It comes in a plastic jug and we are able to pick up 8+ gallon and freeze since its a long drive to keep it affordable for our growing family. We make that drive every two-3 months.
@RowesRising3 ай бұрын
That’s awesome! I’d be making that drive too. My drive is around 35 minutes and it’s peaceful. 🌻🌻🌻

100% agree, everything in moderation! You have a very realistic view on food and feeding your family! For years I put so much unnecessary pressure on myself to have our diet be as close to “perfect” and everything from scratch as I could afford …Now I’m seeing it’s ok once and a while to buy chicken nuggets (gasp) and give my kids GF store bought cookies here and there. Keep sharing, it’s very encouraging to me❤
@RowesRising3 ай бұрын
I used to be that way too- to my detriment!! I used to stress out about food so much. I have relaxed quite a bit since baby 5 arrived. I had a big reality check and now I’m much happier and less stressed 😅🌻🌻🌻

@@RowesRising I so glad you are doing so well, please enjoy these special moments with your children as you know it flies by so quickly. I was buying raw cows milk for $4/gallon then the lady quit selling. I found another farm that does shares (since it's illegal to sell raw milk) and they do the share $ plus $10/gallon. Whew, I just can't pay that after paying $4/gallon 😂 I'm too cheap. I'm planning on having milk by next year myself! Looking good Katie bug! ❤❤

We get our raw A2/A2 milk for $5/gallon from a local Amish farm here in northern Indiana. Ours is labeled *Not for Human Consumption* because of certain laws 🤪

I’m glad you appear to be feeling better! I’ve never had raw milk but in Ohio, you must belong to a herd share which is quite pricey. We raise cattle, but not for dairy. We have a dairy farm 2 miles from us and I just buy our milk there but it’s been treated. It’s really good and I love supporting our fellow farm neighbors.

That’s awesome you have access to fresh milk!! We do have a local herd share here and it is pricey. It’s expensive both ways but worth it in my opinion. Kids are happy to have fresh milk❤️

Are you personally still GF (I know your kids are not)? We have celiac and I’ve never made homemade GF bread that wasn’t from a box mix. Might you have a good recipe? What brand bread machine do you use? I was thinking making GF bread may be easier in a bread machine 🤔🍞

Holy shit $12.00 a gallon??? That's nuts, we don't live in Hawaii. Our local farm sells it for $4.00 a gallon. If we show up with our own jugs and it's poured out straight from the bulk tank, then it's $3.00 a gallon. American greed is gonna definitely cause people to starve. I just keep thanking YAH for our blessings.
@RowesRising3 ай бұрын
I believe it’s so costly because it’s high desert and high demand. It costs a lot to feed the cows- having access to pastures and the water to keep growing forage etc. plus the long winters. “grass fed” milk from the store is $6 a half gallon😅
@minnamae253 ай бұрын
@@RowesRising I'm more or less talking about all of America as one. This country is a greedy nation and this is why everything costs a fortune. It's ALL ran on greed. For instance, hay here is a bumper crop here for this area. So instead of spreading the wealth in a not so greedy way, people will either let it go to mold or charge an arm and a leg to transport and sell to an area that wasn't so lucky. I seriously think this is all a test from the Most High YAH to see who is full of greed and who is giving.
@RowesRising3 ай бұрын
@minnamae25 I agree with you. Greed is ruining this nation!
