I think bc everything is improv, there’s a script w a story but slim to no verbiage in it, or so this is what Chris Lilley said and I think some other character actors, like mama jhyll king.👑.

In the new revival of this character in Chris Lilley's "Ja'miezing" podcast the lesbian thing is still a running joke. I think the character is supposed to be secretly an actual lesbian, but kind of in self denial about it.

So this is essentially what internalised homophobia looks like in lesbians? As portrayed by a male actor playing a bi curious teenage girl what a MESS of a character i absolutely love it hahah
@Algorhythmical4 жыл бұрын
Arty Mars - err no you’re way off. Jam’ie is not bi curious at all. She’s just pretending to be because she thinks it will give her kudos and make her look hot to go to the formal with a lesbian. She’s being completely shallow and only thinking about her “hotness”.
@SarastistheSerpent3 жыл бұрын
I don’t think she’s bicurious at all lol
@ArtyMars3 жыл бұрын
Umm being bi curious usually leads to the person discovering they’re NOT bi and were just curious. Something else was pushing them towards it, In this case, it was Jamie’s absolute narcissism 😂
@kadinmay2 жыл бұрын
@@ArtyMars do you really think so? I’ve always thought bicuriousity was a sure sign that they were in fact bi. The only setback being the afore mentioned homophobia. Whenever I’ve seen guys back out from their curiosity about being bi, it was for saving face and out of denial, not because they weren’t actually bi.
@lunalove93952 жыл бұрын
@@kadinmay i think for some its genuine and can lead them to discover they're actually bi, but i think in ja'mie's case (in the episode where she's all 'i've decided to go through my bi phase'), it was to kind of highlight and make fun of those girls who make out with friends at parties for attention but aren't actually bi or gay. (and are usually kind of homophobic to actual bi/lesbian couples)
