Danielle, I saw your post and had to go on a coffee break, because you are still my number one favorite. I too love to decorate but hate clutter. Love everything it blends so nice room after room. Your dining room table is called a Drop Leaf table. You can also close the leafs down and turn the table so you are looking at the side of the dropped leaf on one side, giving you more room. It’s a very pretty and practical table! Everything looks nice.

A another option for your chair is to use Rit’s Dye & change the color…there are videos on KZbin…. Easier than trying to reupholster it…& much cheaper too. Your home is beautiful

Love the Hall Tree. To really make that entryway , remove the mini blinds, add molding, board and batten perhaps on the walls, vintage wallpaper accent , with light color on other walls, vintage looking accent rug, art work, vintage milk glass light above .

Great luggage. Funny story...I had an old suitcase at the foot of my bed. I hit with a foot and broke it. When I bumped it didn't move. Love the horse stuff too. Maybe you can run across and old grooming comb.

*Danielle, that little "cut-out" in the wall in the corner of your livingroom was to hold your rotary phone...that corner of the room was known as the "telephone nook" ☎️ and every home built from the 1940's through the early 1970's had them....of course, because every phone was hard-wired into the wall!!! Then came the "modular" phones that could plug into the jacks...and of course, the space-saving kitchen phones that hung on a skinny wall with the LONG coiled cords, so you could "really walk around the kitchen" and cook 🍳, do the dishes, or put away groceries, while you were talking on the phone with your girlfriend‼️😉 🤣 But you could only go so far, until the cord didn't stretch any further. Hahahahaha...and WE thought that was FREEDOM! 😂🤣❤️🙄* *Your home tour was appreciated...it's obvious you like living there and it all looks beautiful❣️😊🥳*

Beautiful. We have the same tastes. I replaced all our new things with old pieces. My husband is so good that he was fine with it. The old furniture is better made anyway. Aww cute puppy’s. We have 3 little dogs. The last one we named Ava. Afterwards I thought, we could have had the “Gabor sisters” ZsaZsa , Ava and Magda - then even our dogs could have vintage names 🤣🤣

Loved your house. I have a very small, dark kitchen. When they remodeled they put in dark wood cabinets & black appliances so it's really dark. I have to open the back door to get some light. In today's world, I dont feel real safe with only a storm door protecting me. Love that chair. Love, love your fur bsbies!

It looks beautiful, I use a wire glass milk jug holder for my antique rolling pins, then the overflow I put in a wine rack. I got that idea from my mother. I'm like you I love all the old wooden spoons and kitchen gadgets we actually use them, except for the really old ones. They look great in the Crocs and large Ironstone pitcher! So exciting decorating a new place. Love your puppies. They make me smile every time I watch your videos!! 🐾

Very lovely. I have a large collection of vintage equestrian items I pull out in fall. I think the biscuit jar is actually a sugar bowl. Ironstone sugar bowls are massive to the point where you can put silverware in them. Who needed that much sugar?! Don’t ask me

Ilove that chair. I have used sm hand towel's to cover chair arms or seat in a color i like. to play down the color of chair. But nice chair.

For that kind of furniture you can use Restore Finish and clean with wood furniture cleaner or furniture oil.

love the hall tree in that space... I see the arms look open ... you could use that for canes and maybe a old black umbrella with a wood handle. Also the mirror looks like it was added later and doesn't seem to quite fit the look of the piece. Maybe you could find an old brass one to replace it . The decorating possibilities through the seasons will be so fun.

Thank you! I do plan on collecting more vintage canes & umbrella to display in the arms! I also found a ton of other Hall Trees just like it with the mirror like this so I think this is how it came! I like the mirror, I think it’s different.

Hi Danielle your house is coming together, little by little you will achieve your taste. The entrace you are right to take down the pegs rail and put a big art frame or two just depend on size. The silhouette art maybe in a bedroom. Here at home I dont have any decor in the stairs to give a free spot, and I have a door where you have the olive tree, but yes you can put a different size of art or another tree but higher, you gona fond out. I Love what you did at this moment.

You’ve done a very good job. On your silhouette wall, you might like it better if you had an odd number of silhouette picture. Also, I think if you are going to replace the coffee table, you might like the look of a flat top antique trunk - I think it would work well with your decor.
