Ive been boating as a youngster. Im pushing 60 now and still boating. I taught my daughter at 13 how to start and unload our ski boat and drive it back on the trailer. My son four years younger followed. All of us are a boating family. Lets all remember our first time. Don't laugh at their mistakes but try to give a helping hand.

Expert launch and load requires purchasing the correct trailer for the boat, adjusting the trailer to fit the boat, good skills for forward and backwards driving, understanding of the physics involved, and positioning the trailer depth properly.

When I was a kid everyone put their trailer half way in the water and winched up the rest, no problems. Now a days everybody has to drive their boat all the way on the trailer. Just seems like the lazy way of doing it.

Boats have got a lot heavier. I’ve tried winching mine even though it’s a 20 footer it not happening. Then again around our lakes ramps are much steeper. Maybe with a ramp that’s fairly flat winching may work.

I know what you mean about spray on sunscreen it's a nasty mess one time I sprayed 100 det bug spray on the carpet in my boat at sunset the next morning I went to get into my boat and omg what a mess bugs all over the floor and the carpet was slimy and sticky slippery that was the first time and the last time I ever do that to get all that out of the carpet I had to steam clean it lit 3 times I won't ever do that again. I would shujust to you all don't allow no one can use a area saw spray on my boat
