Hi girl. Love your channel so much!! Whenever I feel down and depressed, channels like these help me so much. Ever just to remind me I am not alone in the world. As a new you tuber, I hope to make someone feel good or just motivated to get this done as I can by hard sometimes. Love you and Sydney so much!!!

Can you make a video about affording life and extras as a single mom in the current climate in your particular state? Here in Western Canada, for example, a summer camp with 5 overnights would run us $500 Canadian per child. A full-time day camp for 5 days might be in the 300 range. We can't afford summer camps unless I'm making an income in addition to my spouse's full time + overtime income, or a family member pays for it. Just curious about general tips and tricks or how these things work for you in the States. Have a good one :)

Ours seem to be a similar pricing. I pay for them mostly months in advance & over time if some allow. It’s insane how expensive these things can be 😭 Just trying to save for them every chance I get but it’s certainly a lot 😩

@@TresChicMama I hear that! Our son wants an 800 dollar lego kit! He's only 6! I figure I'll have to save for 15mo to afford it as his only present in time for Christmas next year! Otherwise, hopefully I'll get a job outside of the home like I'm trying to do and then it would be easy to afford! haha

You are doing great as a single mom! My husband and I are still thinking on having a child or not, and there would be two of us 😅😂 Sydney seems so happy and being able to create so many fun summer memories ❤️ Also, I have heard of reusable pouches for yogurt/applesauce, etc... It may come in handy when you buy the tub (although it's just one more thing to clean...)!

We have a pouch filler thing & I always forget about it 🙃 I need to break it out again! Having a child is not a decision to take lightly so I applaud you thinking on it ❤️ it’s a lot but once they are here it’s like nothing else matters & you just become super parent haha

Quick little tip. You may already know this, but you can freeze loaf bread. My family goes through so much bread so I buy three or four loafs at a time and freeze the rest. You just pull one out lay it on the counter to thaw in the bag as is. Easy peasy! I love your videos girl! I watch your videos while im trying to get my kiddo to sleep. I sit with her and watch these while im waiting. ❤

Thank God you are one of those nice parents who wakes her child up gently. I hate the banging doors, hollering upstairs, throwing curtains & windows open. It's a violent way to start a day. Yeah, as long as you have summer weather and are going to the beach, get the rugs up. They just add to your housework to no real avail. I adore mint chocolate chip ice cream, too! I love gorgonzola on salads, especially in summertime with watermelon among the ingredients. I love cottage cheese all year and often eat it as my dressing for salads, so that I get protein & moisture coating without having to add calorific dressings. It's practical that Sydney has a variety of activities because she will get to decide what sorts of things she likes to do/learn.

It's 2am and watched your quick vlog. Isn't Sydney growing up so fast- more a comment than a question I guess. She is such an outgoing little girl. You are such a great parent Hayley. I have huge admiration for you. You put Sydney first, which I believe parents should, but don't forget to have some downtime for you too. Even just sitting reading a book or magazine, or watching a DVD or a movie on TV. Maybe I should pick up a facial kit just for a bit of something for you to enjoy. But no housework! Just time for yourself. I have thought of something 😁 take care...

You are a great mom yes, but how do you feel you are over extending yourself? Do you have a job besides youtube? Just wondering because I know a lot of single moms who work 40 to 60 hours a week and do all the things.
@TresChicMama Жыл бұрын
Her camps so far are not all day so I have been driving back & forth multiple times a day. Not complaining, grateful really. But just not able to get into a work/life balance. Moms, dads working outside the home, sah, single etc. we all do it all. It’s ok to admit you are tired lol I’m also introverted so these things suck the life out of me in a way that extroverts are the opposite
@lisaerin85 Жыл бұрын
@@TresChicMamaI’m with you 💯. I too am a single mom to a 6 year old, almost 7, boy and it’s sooooooo unbelievable draining. It takes a village and we just don’t have that village that some people just cannot relate to unless they’re in our shoes. I stay at home with him and have been a single since his birth. I also homeschool him and I can tell you, as an extrovert, that we do get burnt out no matter how we refuel. It’s because kids depend on and drain you, and I find that I can actually give him so much more when I get a break. It’s the most demanding job out there. Running errands alone is a break because you get to collect yourself and get away from the noise. My son is the same to me as Sydney is to you, a complete blessing that I love so much my heart hurts, but we also need those breaks. So I feel you mama! We also have one child, I’ve been told by moms who have 2 or more how much easier it became after adding at least one more because our children are looking to us for so much more when they’re the only child. And you’re right, we really do have to do everything on our own, other wise it won’t get done, at least not until our kiddos get older and can handle more. We really do have to manage everything on our own that people who aren’t single parents just don’t get. Even if you had a job outside of the home 40-60 hours a week, which is crazy really, it’s still a weight and management task that’s really impossible to do that moms with spouses just don’t understand. Not trying to be mean to anyone on here who reads this, but I get your struggle. I know that if I had some help with household chores I would be able to rest and enjoy my sons age a lot more. We just don’t get this time back and it almost feels like as a single parent you’re being robbed of it. And yes! It’s ok to admit it!! 😊❤
@lisaerin85 Жыл бұрын
Another thing is, I often think the American culture forgets that being a parent is indeed a job, your biggest one actually and it gets so overlooked that we think if people aren’t working a paying job, they’re not working. It’s the hardest, most demanding, completely underpaid, draining job we can ever have that I think our society needs to look at it as a job. It’s also the most rewarding and irreplaceable one can ever have. I think you’re doing great and I share much of the same struggles with you.
