Tracy, massive thank you. I watched your real time infill and put it into practise today. Luckily client had no lifting but I did acrylic infill and gel polish ombré in 1hr 15mins! As I was finish filing I checked my watch and I was 30 mins in, client still didn’t know what she wanted at that point so a few mins went there while she decided. I usually take 2-2.5 hours!! Again, thank you! Xx

So after watching these videos I really wanted to push myself to cut down my time. I’m a beginner & a Set last week took me 4 hours. To be fair, I was talking a lot & was working slow. I realized that and saw how much time I was wasting. Yesterday, I took 2 hours and 2 minutes. For a beginner, I think that’s pretty good. I wish I could do a full set in under an hour, that’s truly amazing! But I know with practice I WILL get there 😊 I love your videos so much, especially these! 💙

I appreciate that you talk thru the process. I'm a DIY'er and working on a good technique with acrylic. When dabbing the acrylic, is it better to use the dabbing bottle or the glass cup? I'm going to begin learning gel extensions soon. I really like the gel polish. When using gel polish and using ombre or French tips techniques or adding art, what do you use to remove mistakes or shaping tips after curing your base coat? Thank you for breaking it down and discussing tips and techniques. p.s. I am epileptic and probably a nightmare for nail technicians. So I'm learning. 😃
@youngnailsinc Жыл бұрын
When picking up acrylic, we find it easier to use the jars the powders come in or something that size if you need to use a separate container. The small glass dampen dishes can be too small and you may end up bumping your brush to the side of the dish and getting product buildup around the edges. With gel, once it is cured, the only way to remove mistakes would be to either use something over it to cover it up or to file it off. Because hard gel is non porous, acetone or other solvents cannot remove it once it's been cured.

Steve from Kenya.big fan. Am so thankful for this real time series. It has given me confidence in my job now that I know acrylic nails are beautiful when you finish not during creation even for a nail pro. God bless. One question, when I apply top coat to make the nails shine I can still see some very tiny file lines . How do u deal with them ? If I use a smooth buffer will the top coat peel off?

I also take my time :). Of course its a reasonable amount of time, but I will not rush. Simple sets and designs don't take as long, but I don't do a lot of simple sets. I also apply product as neat as I can as I have permanent nerve damage in my dominant hand so filing a lot can cause "trigger finger" that lasts for days. Each to his own though, doesn't make us less skilled because we don't like to rush. If you're happy and so are your clients, that's all that matters. :)
@titch_can_i_nail_it38475 жыл бұрын
@@hollydemarco2779 i wasn't implying that she rushed, I love young nails work and information that they tell us viewers, I was only explaining how I try my best to make my application as neat as i can so I don't have that much filing to do at the end. I also have many health problems too.
@hollydemarco27795 жыл бұрын
@@titch_can_i_nail_it3847 same. Not implying that she rushed either. Didn't mean for it to come across that way if it did. I know some who do, like some of the salons in my area. They look down on people who have to take their time or just choose to. I was just rambling honestly that it really doesn't matter if were fast or slow. If clients are happy and so are we, that's all that matters. :)
@titch_can_i_nail_it38475 жыл бұрын
@@hollydemarco2779 It's tge same where ever you go there will be always someone quick enough to judge, but it takes alot of skill to do nails i think. I'm still learning myself, but sadly I'm unable to work due to my health issues, so i took up doing nails, I'm self taught by watching many different people on KZbin, I'm hoping I can go to college and do a nail tech course as I would love to start my own salon, at least I can work for myself when I'm able to, and don't have to answer to a boss lol. 💞 I also started a KZbin channel I try and do vids when I'm able too. hoping to get one done today. 💞

#youngnailsinc I am wondering if I think it's better to learn how to do Arylic nails with a form or tip . In Australia you don't need a licence to be a professional nail technician but you do need a certificate 3 to be classified as a professional nail technician . I absolutely love your products especially the core powders and monomer, I have tried one other monomer from a big named brand and it was really revved up by big utube nail channels and I of course purchased it and it really doesn't set the Arylic powders it was still gusy after a hour which is seriously
@youngnailsinc Жыл бұрын
We recommend leaning to sculpt with forms as this can be custom fit to each individual nail whereas tips are more of a "one size fits most" service and may not fit every nail perfectly. As for using other products, it's always best to use products together as a whole system. Every product line is designed to work together as a system for the best results. If you were using the liquid from one brand and powders from another, this could be why it wasn't setting properly for you.

I have to keep reminding myself that you do not take the time for removing the previous set in account. So the overall time is actually not quit correct.
