Description After a month of more or less settled weather because the jet stream was to the north of the UK things changed when it moved south again allowing Atlantic depressions to once again visit the UK. Thus did storm "Hector" give the northern parts of the UK a tickle with his tail. Here then is an illustration of what happened at New Brighton on the north Wirral coast. In reality it was only a little bit of blow and nothing to get worked up about but, the media, bless their cotton socks, don't ever appear to be happy unless they've got the knickers in a twist.
