More great tips. I'm someone that tries to look "pulled together" at all times (not always successfully!), but I have yet to master the front tuck. Is it because of my height? I'm 5'1" (on a good day!) and pretty much straight up and down - no waist to speak of, but a tummy. I just can't get the proportion right - any tips? So glad to have found this site!

I’ve often wondered why women wear 2, 3, or 4 cami’s in the summer when the wear only 1 layer in the spring. It seems counter intuitive.

I would be careful about buying statement jewelry from brands that cater to mature women, like Chico’s, Talbot’s, J. Jill, etc. Their pieces tend to be scaled up for larger women. As a petite-height, reasonably slim woman (age 60), with a small head, face and bone structure, I find pieces from these brands often look too big for me.

I'm age 70, 5 ft. 3in., 185 lbs. with a big bust (42D). I live a very acgtive lifestyle-I am up at 5 a.m. drop my husband off at work at 7:30 and then go to the woods to run my large dog. I am now livng in sporting good clothing with hiking shoes which is practical for me but unfotunately, and feel just fat and frumpy. I have to watch for ticks, branbles and need long pants for those. When I get home, I am soaked from the dew, sweat and a wet dog so I changre into old petal pusher type "shorts" and sporting tops. I don't like these clothes but Michigan is hot and humid and I am in and out of my condo all day long walking my dog and taking her potty or at the Community Garden watering my six beds of vegeables. Then I pick up my husband from work and run errands in and out of the heat. I want to look chic but can't seem to pull it together with my lifestyle. I do fine when it is cooler outside; I just fall back on skinny jeans (which look good on me because my legs are shaply and trim) and simple, slimming V neck tops. But in the hot summer, I am at a loss.

Well I’d definitely just stick with these lightweight hiking capris, shorts, etc and own the style. Nothing wrong with that. I feel very pretty in this colorful top and it is so lightweight and easy to wear in the heat. Thanks for sharing. 😊
