I wish all dogs were as lovely and patient as this beautiful Yorkie! She is definitely the consummate professional that is quite used to grooming, and has not had a bad experience! As a groomer and owner of a shop, I know what is out there and it is very sad how some of these dogs come in so terrified due to uncaring groomers.

I know: 1. Trim on fur. 2. Smooth out with a comb. 3. Dry them quickly 4. Blade the paws. 5. Trim the legs carefully. 6. Cut between the eye. 7. Cut the long hair.

Try small grooming sessions daily. Try 5 minutes a day and praise for good behaviour. Go slow.

Love of Grooming , that is what my Allie's groomer does. Give her a break and work on other dogs. It takes longer but she bites at the scissors and clippers. She got cut by them and I started doing it myself. We're back home and with her old Vet and groomer.

I have the same problem with my yorkiepoo. I groomed her myself 3 yrs. But we are back home and she is with her old Vet and groomer. I've tried giving her a low dose sedative to help her. Didn't do anything for her but make her nauseous. She does well enough to get groomed. They work on her a little at the time. Giving her breaks in between the haircut.

why do you shave the tips of the ear? is it a health thing or something just associated with the breed by groomers

Shaving the ears keeps the weight of the hair off the tips. If hair is left on them it can make the ears flop down.
