I wanted to say thanks to Tim for me using my spinning rods again. I was so tired of line twist that I put all my spinning gear on the porch. I could not tie an FC knot consistently so I used straight flouro. I thought I will go to TB and see which knot they use a couple of weeks ago. Tim explained how & why he uses a double uni knot. Bingo. All of my spinning gear is braid with a leader now and I love my spinning rods again. TB has helped me in so many ways. Thanks guys.

I wish, when your offshore like this, with the burrito or whatever, you'd say in XX ft of water and slow rolling on the bottom or whatever your doing. You don't have to get into a full on lesson but just in general quickly, so we could try to replicate it. I'm in Arkansas with super sharp shorelines , where in alot of cases, you go 20 ft off shore and your in 30+ ft of water, and it keeps going like that to 200+ ft in many places. My boat isn't a super fast boat, so I stay on the lower end of the lake, relatively close to the dam, the majority of time with deep, clear water. Winter, I wreck em, summer, not so much. I still stick good jig fish on deep brush and bluff walls, and have times when cranking fires em up, but it's not consistent the way you guys stick fish.

Over the last few years, I’ve been buying a lot of these baits. I think a video guiding us on how to know what day to throw the 5” burrito vs the 6” burrito along with other baits and techniques would be extremely helpful. Sometimes boxes full of baits can feel like too many choices and you are just trying to narrow it down. Love the content as always.
@tacticalbassin Жыл бұрын
That is such a great question and for me it comes down to what I believe the bass are eating. If I'm seeing threadfin shad in the areas I'm fishing or bass are spitting them up, I throw the 5". If I'm seeing Gizzard Shad or other large baitfish (getting chased, casually feeding on the surface, swimming past me in the shallows, etc) I throw the 6". Going even broader, I get more bites on the 5" but tend to get the biggest bite of the day on the 6". I hope this helps!

But for a while it was a legit bass circuit with some real hammers, but now it's a laughing joke.. which sucks for California and west coast cause not many circuits are available with actual coverage and recognition

From all the rain in NY and Vermont, Lake Champlain level has gone up about 3-4 feet. So I was fishing the other day and another guy came over nearby. He didn’t catch anything. I mentioned that because the level was high, I figured that bass would be close to shore near flooded cover and structure. He shrugged and left. Five minutes later, I caught a 3.24 pound largemouth on a June Bug wacky worm.

I don’t know if they still use it, but I’ve seen one of their knot videos and they suggest the Blood knot. Try searching for their vid on knots. I used the one Tim did with the big red and blue cords to learn how to tie it.
@tracybrown2062 Жыл бұрын
I use the double uni knot here on Chickamauga Lake, here in Chattanooga. I check the knot occasionally to look for fraying of the braid, or roughness close to the knot. At this point, I usually don't chance it, and re-tie. I'm usually using 20 lb braid to a 16 lb fluorocarbon leader, which is about 12 ft long.
