Awwe, no worries about the little fawn. That is actually normal deer behavior... The doe will leave the fawn (they have no odor to attract predators, unless humans touch them, then they will have human odor on them and the predators know human smell means food) and then the doe comes back at night/early morning to nurse the fawn. Until the fawn is large enough to keep up with mamma. And actually a fawn starts browsing almost immediately, as well. I'm sure the mamma was near! You did the right thing to observe from afar❤️💕

I grew up with horses, and they just sense pain in humans. And another interesting fact is you can put a child near most horses and they will calm down and be gentle around them.. They’re an amazing fascinating part of our creation. When I see a horse freely gallop across the field, I can’t help but think majestic.

If that Janome sewing machine worked, Janome is a very good brand and expensive when new.

I agree about Janome being great machines. A used one is generally a great budget choice. I spotted two things on that machine that were of concern, one was completely broken. I've been sewing 35 years and I currently own more Janome machines than any other. I definitely would have passed on that machine though.

Thank you Kate for continuing to share your life with all of us. I struggle with extreme anxiety yet, I continue to move forward in my life. I have you as someone who reminds me, that my life is a special gift. I bought a tiny cabin in the woods in the California mountains, in November and I have been spending time whenever possible to fix it up😊 I refinish furniture which brings me such joy, taking something old and making it new. I treat myself to Goodwill shopping when I’m feeling down, and like you, I get rid of one thing for another. I appreciate you for all that you bring me everyday. Ya'll can include me. I have my little old lady, chihuahua/poodle/terrier mix, and two one year old chihuahua siblings that were both born without front legs. My other dogs are a black lab, and a rat terrier mix. I also rescue, so right now I have 2 rescues that will be adopted out to their furever homes. All my dogs are named after characters from "The Wizard of Oz." I agree, these videos are wonderful! I am stressed lately, so coming to this channel can completely relax me.

My daughter is HSP and when she was young she had these hours where she would just cry... She also had panic attacks. We went to this place with horses and when she was on their back she started to relax and after that she wasn't scared and relaxed... It was very special! ♥️

1: Summer: I have a love-hate relationship with summer too. Although is 90% hate, 10 % love. We are having more than a week of over 105 degrees weather (Northern California). 2: Horses: Yes! They are the BEST medicine for stress, anxiety, PTSD and other conditions. I’m blessed to own 3 (or be owned by 3) and I’m so, so grateful! 3: The band of chihuahuas: hilarious! ❤ 4. That thrift shop! Amazing! I wanted the boho purse so badly, the one with fringes!! 😂 5: Charlie: Just precious. What a cute little guy! 6: Food in the USA: You’re completely right. It is incredible how much junk is forced on us in this country. It is not nearly as bad in other countries. But… companies need their money, and that is more important than our health. Anyway… thank you for your videos. I truly enjoy them.

I don’t know what health challenge you’re dealing with, but I have Lupus & arthritis & my life changed when I got a grounding mat to sleep on. Both diseases have been in remission for over 3 years now & I have never felt better! I just have the basic mat that lays across the bottom of my bed so my feet are on it while I sleep. I tell everyone about it because of how much it’s helped me. I am glad you’ve found an acupuncture place that works for you! If you can help your body with natural remedies, I feel it’s so much better for you! 😊❤

Your videos bring me such joy like there’s a peace and a calmness about them. I have been sewing for well over 50 years and have owned lots of sewing machines over the years some expensive some not. IMO for a beginner a basic machine is perfect. Some of my most fond memories and projects were made on a push pedal singer (no electric) lol it was a straight stitch and that was it, but truly that’s all you need. Just the basics. I hope you find a machine soon. You are going to love it!

I totally agree! I live in Brisbane, Australia and it is SO SO hot here in summer and incredibly humid as well which always makes the best feel hotter some how. In the last week of winter we had a heat wave and it got to 96.8°… in winter! Watching Kate and her gorgeous little boho cottage go through 4 proper seasons brings me so much joy (especially all the flowers in spring) and I wish so much I could live somewhere like that, in a little cottage on the edge of a woods with nature all around. But, watching Kate’s videos always reminds me to be grateful for what I do have and to try and focus on the positives like she does. I am very grateful to Kate and her @littlebohocottage channel. I too have anxiety (and chronic pain from back issues) and seeing Kate’s courage in looking for and finding all the good things is so inspiring. I’m going to see if I can somehow budget to join her patreon because, if all the channels I follow, Kate brings me THE most joy and I believe she really truly deserves all the support e can give her!

Here in southwest Florida, the summer is very hot and humid, but I love the longer days of sunshine. The longer I have lived here, th more I become accustomed to the extreme heat. I still do my 5 mile walks along the water even in the heat - my happy time and place! and keeps me healthy. I love watching your videos in New York - so beautiful. I really enjoyed your Goodwill shopping trip. Your time with the horses was my favorite. So amazing - they are beautiful creatures from God. A wonderful video!

I'm also loving the long days of summer. I was driving home last Friday night from the full moon women's circle I go to and it was still light at nearly 10pm! I also love getting up early during the summer and when it's already light out at 7am, it's so much easier. Yesterday my husband and I went down to Williamstown, KY for the memorial for my aunt and uncle. They were interred together (their ashes) at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery. She passed in Dec, he joined her earlier this month. She was 90, he was 94. It was a beautiful morning and it was nice to see so much of my family. It's been so hot for the past few weeks, but the weather was perfect yesterday. My aunt would have loved this channel..she was very much a boho lady. Probably why she was my favorite aunt..:)

I used to have horses when I was a teenager and let me tell you once you have one you will realize that basically, horses are like puppies/dogs with hooves. Like dogs, they have their own personalities, but they are gentle giants. I do believe often times horses are misunderstood. They are the sweetest animals next to puppies and cats. Idea: Make a pullover full long slip from a found percale white sheet and you can even add some fancy hem trim sourced from a lace tablecloth to peek out below the over skirt. Wrap around skirts are easier to make and fit forgiving. I've only experienced Chinese acupressure. I would love to find a sliding scale charging practice near me. Not much around here. Enjoyed your wonderful pup, the sunrises, rain storm whirling clouds and sunsets.

Yup, I’m from Georgia. Imagine how it feels when the humidity is the same as the temp. But we don’t have to store snow shovels, boots, heavy coats etc. I was born and raised in New York and remember warm summers but never as hot as it gets up there now. Our goodwill down here in Savannah never has anything as good as you get. Love your video’s. That sewing machine you were looking at is an excellent brand. Very high cost machine. My parents moved to Poughkeepsie from the Bronx. They are long gone.

P.S. I forgot to say that I enjoyed the horse portion of your video. I love horses. Years ago, I would visit a cousin who !ived in the Northeast Kingdom here in VT who owned horses for years. Being young then and having no fear, lol, I eagerly agreed to go for a ride. I got the Kentucky Trotter that had come up from Virginia. We went out on the dirt country roads and what a ride! That horse had been in competitions and every time her horse would come up behind me she would take off. She did not gallop and as we trot, trot, trotted pretty fast down the road I was bounced vigorously up and down. I was not an experienced rider either. It was a joyous day, but let me tell you it was not easy to move or sit the next day. Lol. That's my horse therapy share. 😆 I have watched a horse therapy video here on KZbin and it was moving.

I love winter and spring, and do not enjoy the hot weather here in the summer, here in West Devon, England, as my house gets very hot, with no windows at the back to get a through breeze, and only a little front area where Madge and I can sit out, but no garden to be able to get in the shade, with a breeze drifting through. But our temperature is much lower than yours, as we have been getting 25 degrees centigrade, which is 77 degrees fahrenheit, and I find that too hot for Madge and me! I also love dark evenings, where I can shut the curtains, and be all snugly and private in my little house, with Madge my rescue greyhound. But I do enjoy going out with Madge walking from my front door, and getting into the shady places, where we can enjoy the dry weather, and be cool at the same time, and be surrounded by nature. I love listening to your soft, happy voice, and seeing your lovely face, and your lovely clothes, and LOVE your little Charlie. Mother deer leave their babies sometimes for a couple days but come back. We have problems with people that move in and move or mess with the deer. It doesn’t take long for everyone to let’s just say educate them about leaving them alone. You got to see it while mom was away ❤️

I live in the Florida panhandle the heat and humidity are unbearable at times, I try to do outdoor things early in the morning. I love all your thrifting finds and enjoy what you do with them. Charlie is just adorable 🥰 Have you ever thought of setting up a game camera to see what critters visit at night ? I have one and we get deer, raccoons, possums and bunnies, I also have a few stray cats I feed, it’s fun.

I lived in Michigan all my life but five years ago moved here to Florida. Hot is no Mather where you are but humidity is the killer. Mostly humid in the morning and just hot the rest of day. You become accustomed to the heat within reason. But Winter is wonderful and beats the cold and snow😎👍❤️

I found an awesome Doctor of Acupuncture in Florida who was great. Unfortunately I moved and have not found a new one. I am very sad about noo longer having access to my previous Doctor. I agree about the food in the states. I try to grow as much organic as possible. I don't eat out because I can't verify restaurant food is truely safe & organic. LOVED the video! You shoulda bought that sewing machine! Normally they are donated because few people sew anymore. It looked like it was in good shape. I simply use canned air to blowout the bobbin area well, and a few drops of sewing machine oil, is probably all that machine would require. The SOAKING SPOT, The horse visit, THE DRESSES!!!!! OH MY Thank you!

Ahhh, I feel very relaxed after watching this video. It’s been very hot here too, high 90’s every day very early too. The older I get the more I dislike it. It's always lovely to see a new video. The sheets will make such pretty dresses. We've had a Janome for about 10 years and sew regularly it's a great machine. I know you said you have a friend to help which is the best way to learn,I'd also recommend patterns by indie designers, explaining things step by step is a great help.xx

Hi Kate. Loved this video. The thrift shop looks great. Would love to spend some time in there myself but it's a little far for me to travel from the UK. 😆 Some great finds you have there and will have saved you a lot of money. I too love the long summer days, but like you, I struggle with the heat. Despite the weather being more unpredictable now, fortunately, heatwaves here in the UK are few and far between. I too prefer a happy medium. Sunny but not too warm. Charlie is so adorable. Such a little love. Thank you for sharing this. 🥰🐾🌻
