I hate to be negative but The Honey Witch was also my top most anticipated books of this year and it was a MASSIVE let down - very messy, not well written, the beginning is super info dumpy and definitely NOT howl's moving castle vibes - we line up almost perfectly in our reading over the past 5+ years so I figured I'd just warn you to maybe lower your expectations 🥲

I am in the minority of period who disliked Dial A For Aunties because, like, nobody in the entire book gave a half a fuck that they killed somebody... very weird to me. Cozy mystery only works for me when it's lighter, like a diamond heist where nobody has actually died
