Amazing. Sausage from a pig your family raised and slaughtered. A deer your family harvested and processed. Lettuce, onions, and tomatoes your family grew themselves. I wish we could all live like that.

Wow I was actually a little surprised, I didn't think Americans made Thier own sausage meats, shows what I know about Americans. Great skill to hand on to your children too. Great video. Ok ok I gotta know 😮 what is it with you north American and Chilli PEPPERS. I swear yould put the things on toast raw for breakfast. 😂 Southern New Zealanders are not fond of fire pepper, at least this one isn't, and there's been five bottles of imported Carolina reaper hot sauce in the sauce aisle at the local supermarket for the past six months and they're gathering dust 😆 and you guys shove it in your sausage mix 😮 😂 great video 🙋🥝🇳🇿

😂😂😂 oh how I wish you could try this sausage! It would change your life forever!!!😂😂😂😂😂 Hot peppers are absolutely wonderful even in small doses, and eventually a person finds food without them to be bland and unfulfilling!😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂

75 pounds of sausage is alot of eating. Of course your growing boys eat alot. Got home from Switzerland yesterday afternoon and it is good to be home. Going out to check the fields today to see how they're growing. Take care folks.

It is a very manly, and a very adult thing to do, to harvest and process your own wild meat. Reminds me of the pioneers and wilderness settlers of times gone by. And no one can kill enough hogs to make them extinct. Sounders abound and remain in need of harvesting.

I am going to make 5 pounds of turkey breakfast sausage and I was wondering if I could add some corn meal to thicken it up so it's not so crumbley.
@McGieHomesteadAdventures10 ай бұрын
Cornmeal will probably make it worse…….. I’d rather use potato starch or white flour. Also mix it in a mixer machine of some kind for 5-10 minutes and it should really help.

Turned out looking really good ! I was hoping you weren't going to set everyone on fire with that pepper powder lol . We only planted 1 Ghost and 16 jalapenos this year because we just don't use them up . I wouldn't have even planted 16 jalapenos but I forgot I had bought some already and got a deal on a 12 pack . The crazy thing is the 4 pack doesn't even look like jalapenos because they are white and not really shaped like a jalapeno. Thanks for sharing and have a great day !
@McGieHomesteadAdventures Жыл бұрын
There’s no telling what kind of peppers you ended up with! Whatever they are, I’m sure they will be delicious! Yes, this chocolate ghost really made the sausage. Amazing!

Quick question just curious what you power your freezers with? We are trying to to plan an alternate way to run our Freezers without using electricity
@McGieHomesteadAdventures11 ай бұрын
We have a couple small ones that run on propane. Our big freezers are on electric not on this property currently. But we have friends who are strictly on solar power and have freezers!

What's the brand of grinder? Looks very similar to the adcraft 1hp i just scored. Do you have to remove the front housing from the motor for cleaning by removing the 4 small stainless screws? Great video, hoping to start making sausage soon.
