Summer Tope Fishing off the Fylde Coast

In this video, we take you out tope fishing off the Lancashire coast. Throughout the day we experience fantastic fishing with 8 different species encountered. This is my first video so please feel free to comment on anything you'd like me to address, show or any questions about the fishing :)

Very well done dude I haven't been on a boat in years I miss it so much and the sea. However I went wrasse bashing in Scarborough a month ago awesome session. Lovely seeing the tope..well done again.

Thanks! nothing I love more than fishing at sea on my boat :) Don't get wrasse up this way unfortunately but I'll hopefully do some videos of them round Anglesey. But appreciate the support glad to get some tope :)

what a fantastic session WOW. few advice when you got the first tope - if you haven't got supporting belt put the end of the rod between legs right hand above the reel where you got your left and much more easier but fantastic video, amazing :)

Yeah I'd certainly recommend :) I think I should be attaching it to the anchor rope not the side of the boat tbh but not sure, if nothing else I often think it brings in the mackerel and small fish.

Nice videos just come across them . Seen you coming down the river a few times last year I have an orange rib. I've had some good tope session around gut bouy and about a mile further out . Had tope to mid 40s and a few of them . Found the bigger fish take live mackrel(If you can get them) with a very small lead and let it roam around .

Thanks mate! yeah I think I know the rib, do you anchor around the end of the wall bass fishing? seen one there sometimes, and nice fish! my biggest is 42 but I'm going for a 60 haha, good advice mate thanks for commenting :)

Yeah about 4 hrs ebb you can even get out lower on the smaller tides.

@@fishingandherping7681 It's watching those walls, we hit one once in Alan Watkiss's clinker boat, very nearly in trouble. We decided to return to the river to get some shelter from a heavy swell near the bar, on an ebb tide.

Nice vid. Can’t beat a simple rig. Only ever caught baby tope. Is a net not an option because of the shape and speed? Subd btw 😉

Thankyou! have subd back :) yeah we did try a big net but we found it was hard to scoop them into it in a strong tide as it carried the net away and also big tope thrashing in a net just tears the mesh up unfortunately
