Hi, I’ve the same fishfinder. If you go into the chart plotter settings you can turn on the mapping function. Then then records all the data and builds a real time map which is kept for future use. Very handy

Hi Oban. I catch lots of tope in the 30/40lb bracket when I go to Ireland. The best advise I can give you tackle wise is 20/30lb Boat rod coupled with 40lb braid, with a strong 4/0 snap swivel, 200lb nylon rubbing leader about 8ft long with another 4/0 snap swivel, This stops the tope from rubbing the trace and snaps it, if it wraps it round it's body. Just like it did in the video, Then onto that you have a 4ft 150lb 49 strand wire trace. With the snap swivel, you just detach the wire trace from the rest of the line. On to a 10/0 circle hook with the barb crushed, that's important to have the barb crushed as it's easy to unhook the fish with a tee bar. When the fish picks the bait up, it will run, don't strike just lift into the fish That way the hook turns in the tope mouth and you hook it in the side of the mouth, and play the fish to tire it out so that it's easer to unhook at the side of the sib If you give me your address I will make some up for you and I will post them onto you..

Top angling. Never easy unhooking Tope, I always use a circle hook as it's kinder & safer & unhooking is easier.
