Yes. I just decided to make a bible journal so that i can focus on my faith. I am excited to start because i know for a fact it is very much healing and peaceful! I use to have journals for all kinds of things but due to the many changes recently in my life, i stopped doing them. Also due to the changes, i lost a sense of things that make me happy. Hopefully there will be a new norm that is so much more fulfilling but this is the time where so many of us are realizing that self help is real and very important. #LifeHasBeenLifing

Therapy works wonders!! I’m glad to hear that you’re doing something for yourself. I was in therapy for a year myself and it completely changed my thought process, reduced my anxiety and helped me gain a better look on life. Keep up the good work!!

Prayer is prayer, and the way our world is going, ALL prayer helps. Helps you. Helps the greater good. I am not particularly religious, but I was raised Catholic and take great comfort from praying my rosary. And I can definitely feel a difference in my outlook throughout the day when I pray my rosary in the morning. But, like you, I need to become more disciplined in doing so. I love that you referenced Mr. Snuffleupagus! 🤭 Have a great weekend!

Have you tried Scripture Writing using the SOAP method? Basically you look up (probably on Pinterest) scripture writing plans based on a theme. So this month I've been writing one scripted a day that focuses on "Truth" using the SOAP method. So I write the Scripture, an Observarion I made in the verse, an Application that I can take away, and I finish with a Prayer. The overall time is about 15 minutes but it's been super refreshing.

I feel like when I talk to God, I have more hope and comfort. I used to ride my stationary bike while praying "peddles & prayers" and now I pray a lot more. I wish I would have started sooner in praying, too. I always read the Psalms first and then read scriptures that apply to the situation. I feel like so much time can be wasted on repetitive negative news or wasted hours on Instagram. I can't believe we have to return to work soon. I haven't accomplished much. Shutters are going to look great on your place.

I would advise you to try out lash clusters before you get extensions. They are super easy to put on, really affordable and last a few weeks.

I always had my lashes done but decided to quit at the end of the year. I use Careprost which is the generic Latisse. It works super well…not as good as lash extensions but it does the trick. I also decided to go au naturale with my nails, but I like short, short nails so it works for me. I just use Essie Gel Couture. I was just so sick of appointments and feeling like I had to spend the money instead of wanting to spend it. Maybe that means I’m growing up at the age of 46! 😂😂

Hi! Last October I had a similar experience on my quest to just feel content and peaceful. I realized Im happiest when I am seeking God. Have you ever tuned in to the Sister Circle with Crystal Evans Hurst ? I like her youtube videos but she also has a podcast. Another great resource/ speaker - author is Dr.Anita Phillips. She wrote The Garden Within and her messages are so thought provoking and deals with emotions. She is a Psychologist and a preacher.

Thanks for sharing your finding peace journey. There's safety in the counsel of the wise. So prayer along with therapy/support group is helpful and essential I believe for wholeness. And remember it's not about religion but a relationship with God specifically his son. I talk to (pray) God/Jesus daily, no right or wrong way, just your way. Additionally, a gratitude journal has helped me too. 😊

have students work to earn letters on the white board. When they spell out the word they get 10 minutes of free time at the end of the day. If they are not following your instructions you erase a letter.

In all honesty you will not feel comfortable with all messages if the pastor is truly teaching from the Bible. That happens to most of us. Prayer is wonderful. Prayer & exercise are my go-to's to help me mentally. Social Dallas is good. I like Robert Madu.

It is not the scriptures or what I believe God is saying in the scriptures, it is how most churches are misusing the bible to to promote what I believe to be discriminatory beliefs and practices is what I have an issue with.

@@SmartieStylelr I am not exactly sure what discriminatory practices you are referring to. There is nothing in the Bible that speaks against a person's race or financial status. Unfortunately that kind of discrimination has been happening for a long time. God tells us not to be unequally yoked. Because I am a Jesus follower it is not good for me to be with someone that is not a believer. If the discrimination pertains to sexual preference/gender identity, these things are not Biblical. But as believers we are supposed to love others. That is where we all fall short though. We don't love others as we should. Hope that makes sense.
