There was a survey of cities where they asked, what is the Second City of the UK? Birmingham said "Birmingham!" Liverpool said "Either Manchester or Liverpool!" Manchester said "London."

It doesn't matter what the public say in surveys, it is officaly known on Goggle, Wikipedia , the News Media and by the UK Government that the City of Birmingham is the Second City or Second Largest City due to it's population size of 1.5 million Citizens, it area of 150 sq mies in area and the largest City Council in the UK. the 3rd largest City is Glasgow, 4th the City of Liverpool, 5th The City of Bristol and 6th the City of Manchester with a population of 580,000 and an area of 58 sq miles. Don't even mention Greater Manchester as it is not a City but a Metropolitan County Council like the West Midlands and Merseyside so why mention this. All you have to do is Google the UK's largest Cities by population size and the closest to Birmingham's populaion is Glasgow with arround 800,000 citizens

Sorry it does not matter how many surveys take place on this subject, it is recognised by the UK Government and news media that the City of Birmingham is the Second City and Second largest City in the UK because of it's population of 1.5 million Citizens, it has the largest municiple council in Europe and an area of 150 sq miles. The City of Birmingham has been the second City since Victorin times taking over from Bristol

The best thing about MC is somewhere in the outskirts, there's an estate filled with simple people just trying to get by, no matter what shenanigans a certain lover of the drink gets up to. It's a British TV show.
