I think she obviously does well in more intimate settings. Performing in this manner is probably More comfortable for her. I hate the criticism she gets because people don’t know the difference between a performer and an ARTIST, which she’s clearly the latter. Creating music and being socially charming aren’t mutually exclusive either. She’s def a gifted artist and I wish more people focused on the art, and not if she can regale us with typical celebrity charms.

You can be a performer but also an artist. Ariana Grande,Lady Gaga and Beyonce are artists but also performers. Artist have a choice to do what suits them the most. If they want to just sing or sing but also perform which is still an artist. I agree with some of what you said but also disagree with what you said.

So glad she didn’t have to perform in front of an audience, I hope her social anxiety wasn’t acting up too much. Love her 🖤 Edit: For anyone that thinks I brought up her social anxiety for no reason, I’ve been of hers fan for a long time, since her “Tsunami” days. Summer is an inspiration for me specifically because of it. I rarely see black women be open about social anxiety, so it’s easy for me to feel alone. Her ability to persevere in spite of it, rather it be large performances or hate online, really makes me believe in myself as someone living with social anxiety also. I wasn’t expecting for this comment to get any attention or else I wouldn’t have made it (hostile discourse is a specific trigger for my anxiety), but anyway, it wasn’t meant to be ignorant. 🖤

This was actually dope. Reminded me a little of MTV unplugged. Definitely had a late 90’s-00’s vibe. I wish they would bring that back.

This was the very first time I ever heard and seen Summer. I didn’t know any of these songs but I was very impressed that new girls were collaborating with Usher. Fast forward, I’m hearing Session 32, thinking I’m hearing it for the first time and absolutely LOVING IT!!!! So tonight, I randomly looked up live versions of the song and here I am like WOW!!! It’s the song that I love!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
