I think she obviously does well in more intimate settings. Performing in this manner is probably More comfortable for her. I hate the criticism she gets because people don’t know the difference between a performer and an ARTIST, which she’s clearly the latter. Creating music and being socially charming aren’t mutually exclusive either. She’s def a gifted artist and I wish more people focused on the art, and not if she can regale us with typical celebrity charms.

Summer is an inspiration for me specifically because of it. I rarely see black women be open about social anxiety, so it’s easy for me to feel alone. This was the very first time I ever heard and seen Summer. I didn’t know any of these songs but I was very impressed that new girls were collaborating with Usher.
