Pour moi, Alex the cage vs Joseph Go ou Waydi vs Icee, c'étaient deux finales du summer au dessus. Après c'est ma subjectivité, et ce battle réunissait deux grands danseurs, et même anciens ! Donc ça fait plaisir de voir que cette génération performe toujours. Toutefois, le summer dance en Hip hop était décevant cette année. J'ai pas trop compris comment Laura Nala qui est excellente ou Rochka, Majid se sont fait sortir. Ca en plus d'un Boubou vs Fabreezy beaucoup trop tôt qui était déjà une finale en soit.

One of the biggest and best finals in the history of the SDF without a doubt, if not the best, and the biggest. Congratulations to both of them, firstly, they performed a show for the public. But it's noticeable that Icee's musicality and dance technique is a step above. Jimmy, all respect for him and nothing against him, on the contrary, I adore him, besides being an excellent dancer, I find him super friendly and funny, but in my opinion, he was carried away in 1 round entirely by the public's hype, and in other rounds he was below the level set by Icee, especially in the fourth and fifth round. Unfortunately, the years pass, and age arrives for everyone, and unfortunately one day Icee will stop, but he will certainly be remembered forever, what an extraordinary hip hop dancer, I know that the dance is universal, and probably many will say, there is no GOAT in hip hop dance, it really could be true, but for me, from what I saw, if I had to point out a GOAT, it would definitely be him! Forget about this man in the polls, and focus on his dancing, and he's still an animal! The best and most talented I've seen!

well said. I will add that icee shouldn't just be acknowledged in the hip hop world but in ALL dance. I agree about the first round and the progression of the battle. I couldn't decide who won the first round tbh. The level was so so so high and jimmy responded like a monster. After that though, jimmy who i have always liked, didn't sustain that same level or better still match icee. I was surprised jimmy thought he won tbh. great battle.

This was one of the craziest battles/finals in SDF that i've seen. This was pure artistry and mastery of musicality on display for real. I hated the song selection of the bonus rounds, but this was still a fantastic battle. Icee definitely proved why he deserved to win, Jimmy was right there up until the bonus rounds though.

@@skiviper what i have always liked about jimmies style is his vibe, musicality, dancing in the pocket, and steady tempo. If he added progressive layers, levels and tempo to his rounds i do think he could have won. IMO the first round was his best. The thing with Icee is His complete. His musicality isn't just traditional hip hop moves, he adds floor work and animation for example his round where he danced like a martial arts pray mantis style. It's musical and doesn't translate as a signature more or a power move. His not like the Dancer back in the day called UKAY. He was crazy dynamic but it was all power moves and not music vibe. people like Icee and nelson are very very very hard to beat due to there attributes in a battle.

In this confusing era of almost interpretative dance and all-styles within hip hop, Icee is refreshing to watch. I still feel bad for Jimmy, he would have won without internet voting, but they pay to watch, so it makes sense..

@@skiviper I totally forgot that jimmy got 113 and icee 112 on the first “crowd will choose”. You actually have a point on that then tbh. What is weird to me is back in the day when Icee would team up with fabreezy. At that time fabreezy was top dog and if they ever had to battle one another fabreezy would win. It’s weird to see fabreezy not even passing the first knockout rounds. To me in his prime he was known for his dynamic “power moves”. Icee seems like a fine wine where his style doesn’t look dated or for better words, of a certain period in time. I’m really surprised with how fabreezy’s time in the dance world evolved.

Certainly not the best final ever. I would rather say that this final delivered at least some class to sdf this year so that it would not be a total failure. I would also say that Jimmy indeed showed something new, whereas for Icee I do not see the real difference since the times he was battling Waydi and, however, he still won this year. This means a real struggle for the competition to recognize new tendencies.
