Only thing I would add is drill holes along the bottom to drain and air it out

Nice job. How much did you spend on everything

I did the same but put a PVC gutter inside as a tray. Capped one end and put a handle on the outside end to pull all the hoses out. The hose will not get pushed too far back.

That's great. I get two hoses in mine so when compressed it reaches the front. If I only use one half just have to be careful not to push it too far in. haha. Thanks for watching!

well done but I just grabbed a 6 inch sewer drain pipe put the end cap on one side and the screw cap on the other that way the elbow fits in there as well

A much more professional looking solution than the vinyl fence post hack. Great job.

What kind of blade did you use on your circular saw to cut the pipe ?
@WanderToGetLost9 ай бұрын
I used a diablo fine tooth blade. works very well on pvc.

While any position for the end cap is acceptable, I would think that 9 o'clock (up stream or fore in boating terms) would be the best for most. That way if the cap is not secured, the wind will have a tendency to swing it closer to closed. At 6 o'clock it's never going to close and might get damaged on the road before someone notices it.

My buddy tried to convince me to do this like he did, he spent about 70 bucks and about 1 hour on his tube. I just bought 2 of the Vatera extendable sewer line tubes for 54 bucks each and took me about 15 minutes to install both so I guess its a give and take. Each one holds a 20ft Rhino section minus the elbows. I had to use plastic spacers I got from Home Depot so it would clear our belly covering but solid.
@WanderToGetLost2 жыл бұрын
The Valteras and other ones would not work for our RV. The mounts are at the ends. I also didn't like the sliding tube that would sag as others stated in reviews. Ours fits our 20 foot rhino no issues and plenty of room for some extras. Thanks for watching!

The 6 inch pipe kit was $60 bucks on amazon. link is in the description. The PVC pipe was somewhere between 30-40 bucks. I got it at Lowe's. I got the lighter core pvc pipe to keep weight down. Thanks for watching!!

Not a good move to handle something that comes in contact with raw sewage without gloves on.
@WanderToGetLost2 жыл бұрын
Luckily we have running water and soap. Also, with gloves on you can be more apt to be careless when handling the poop hose. I am very careful and always wash immediately after. Gloves are just more waste for landfills.
@ceetee20212 жыл бұрын
@@WanderToGetLost Good to know you have running water and soap and never touch anything else until you sanitize. My gloves do not go into the landfill, they are not single use, they are also familiar with soap - water - bleach
@deanh71902 жыл бұрын
@@WanderToGetLost How sweet...your Mother watches the channel 🤣🤣🤣. btw I found your install video interesting. I installed a Sani-Con Turbo waste macerator pump out for base camp use and while friend-docking but we still utilize our standard poop hose for gravity dumping that we currently keep in a sealed container but I'm always looking at alternatives.
@deanh71902 жыл бұрын
@@ceetee2021 So unless you wash your hands every time just prior to donning the re-usable gloves, you must have to also wash your hands after wearing them and washing the gloves. That's a lot of water (a precious resource), soap & bleach down the drain or do you just flush rinse everything onto the campground site and kill plant life? Even if you wash into your grey tank via a sink, bleach harms the good bacteria in the septic system that you will eventually dump it into, that are trying to break down the human waste products therein. I use disposable gloves just like medical professionals.
@WanderToGetLost2 жыл бұрын
@@deanh7190 haha. I am gonna add the macerator to our arsenal for friend moochdocking as well. Thanks for watching!
