I did. Although I’m only deeper interested in plants since I have corona free time, I would have voted for it anyways. It’s always great when a small team with passion do their thing and do it good. Greetings from Germany 🙋🏼♀️ (This plant thing will grow. If I had money, I would invest in it. Because of the recent developments people will concentrate more in make their home nice instead of travelling around the globe.)

I wonder how many scientific names of plants are stored in Dr. Piyakaset's brain. I love the look of joy in his face when introducing or naming those rare flora. Like you, he's amazing. One of my earliest dreams was to become a botanist. I feel like reliving my dream. lol Kidding aside, thank you for sharing your journey with us. The feeling must be wondrous. PS: Thanks for the lovely message, dear Summer. This is why I love the cherry blossoms so much. They remind me of life's beauty yet ephemeral nature, to live life to the full. RIP, Dr. Torut.

Oh my god the end of this broke my heart. That is so incredibly sad. I almost lost my dad to a heart attack two years ago and we think that’s what happened to my brother (he overdosed in April) as well. It has completely and entirely changed me as a person. So much rides on that one little organ. The gravity of how fragile life is and how brief a time we have here knocked me into another universe. My deepest sympathies to his loved ones, and to you Summer. That said, I hope I get to spend my last day doing what I love, and with passionate people, like Chanin did. Rest in power. 💚

I was first moved to tears when Dr. Piyakaset pointed out the little blue flowers growing on and around the granite where the water drains. When he spoke about how climate change had reduced the number and they would eventually disappear I was overwhelmed. Then when you announced the loss of your collegue an ended the video with such a lovely reminder of the transience of life I again found myself swept up in poignant emotion. Thank-you Summer for such a lovely video. It was a fitting tribute to a man who lived his life growing beautiful things. I just love what you do.

This is my favorite video of yours. It was very generous of Dr. Piyakaset to allow you to join in the little expedition so in turn we also get to see plants in their natural habitat. I felt like when I was younger and was always excited to discover new plants and animals in what used to be my less crowded and less progressive hometown. Now that most of lands were turned into homes and subdivision, those times when I'm exploring are the best memories I have. At the end, it was sad to know that a man who had a passion for plants, Mr. Thorut, had passed away. May his memory and passion for plants live forever.

Whoa... this was a breathtaking episode. Thank you so much for filming these! It really shows how nature is just so vast and how so many countless species adapted to live in such unlikely places. Those camera shots of that epic landscape contrasted to the shots of miniature plants and even smaller flowers is something that makes you stand back and admire the nature. And I love it even more because you focused on plants. Even the smallest ones. Its really so humbling to watch this. Dr. Piyakaset seems to be one of the best hosts one can ever wish for. Always engaged and spreading good energy. I also love how you have your little moment with the insects! I love them, they are such a diverse class! Having some more fragrant plants seems like such a tempting goal to set! Thus far I only managed to get the Classical Jasmin vine, and Liodoro orchid. But having that sort of a lil' bush with a lemony scent would be great!... but i dont have much place left in my one room apartment. Not unless i invest in growlights! xD... and thats a goal on its own! It was a very shocking ending. May Mr Thorut rest in peace. You did a very heartwarming thing by dedicating the episode to him. (but... why is the day of passing away Oct 29th?... that's tomorrow. Sorry i just wanted to point it out in case it was a overlooked. Sorry if i repeated after someone else.)

@@summerrayneoakes Oh ! I see! Sorry, Ive completely put out of my mind that the other side of the globe is one day ahead... jesus... am i living under a rock or what !? sigh.... sorry. Ah! on the contrary! Im very thankful you find time to read them! But you go above that and reply! It always leaves me with a smile on my face and makes my day. :3 I dont want to praise too much, but its kinda hard... xD.... Your actions and words, and what you put out there talk volumes already. Still, i feel like repeating and pointing out the good aspects of anything will have a positive effect on all levels. Im looking forward to the sequel! Have a wonderful time until then!

I can't imagine more appropiated video to tribute and farewell a distinguished botanist Chanin Thorut. The entire film was astonishing, with Dr. Piyacaset climbing trough all those cliffs just to watch and photograph a little tiny plant risking extintion. So brave! All that lushness and the views were breathtaking. You all show so much love for nature! I can't even imagine how shocking was receiving the news of so sad lost. May his soul rest in peace.
