The woman who created the HoneyPot brand, created it because she suffered with frequent BV infections. She did an interview on The Real discussing her brand. I use Summer's Eve too. I have been wanting to try the HoneyPot brand. I saw it at Walmart. Good information in your video. Thank You.

We have to remember that hygene routines vary by person. I've never had a reaction to any product, vaginal or not. Never had any infections or rashes, or ingrown hairs from waxing - meanwhile my best friend says she always got an ingrown when waxing, and she has to be very diligent to avoid YI or UTI's. 💁🏽‍♀

I understand that everyone then had different experiences with summer eve. But I've been using summer eve for years and I've never had any problems. No discharges, UTI, ph balance has never been thrown off. The only time that I have problems is when I use other body washes far as Suave Body Wash ( most definitely). Sometimes I'll have problems with Ivory on/off and Dove soap. I start using summer eve body, because it's a mild soap and it's not all that soapy. The only problems that I have with summer ever body is when it makes you dry afterwards. But how I fixed that issue, I use coconut oil to moisturizer the skin. And the coconut oil be having my skin shiny/soft 🥰❤️

Oh honey, there's no need to be embarrassed talking about problems. Thank you for opening up and talking about this. Also, I strongly disagree with using only water down there. It's a part of the body that does get sweaty, smelly and its own natural excretions. It's going to stink if not properly cleansed. Sodium Laureth Sulfate is absolutely terrible for you. What I personally use is Dr. Bronner's pure liquid castile soap. It's 100% plant based, gentle and good for the hair/face/body. My hair used to be SO dry , but since using it I don't even need conditioner. For a freshen-me-up for the lady parts, I use baby wipes. If it's safe enough for a baby's ass, it's safe enough for down there. I also use them to remove make-up and it's way cheaper. You can also get unscented. Another thing is you may have a medical condition called hyperhidrosis. If it's bothersome, please consult with a medical professional.

I just use Apple Cider Vinegar in the shower or in my bath to keep me fresh. It’s very effective and I don’t have to use it everyday even when I’m sweaty. It takes the odor away and keeps it away.(Just want to clarify that I still take showers daily) Another completely natural alternative that I have also found to be effective is rose water! You can either use it by itself or add a few drops of lavender essential oils but either one are really great for taking away odors on the spot. I normally keep a little spray bottle of it in my purse with a few cotton swabs to stay fresh throughout the day if needed. I hope this helps for those who are looking for completely natural alternatives. *Please know that the above mentioned is for the outside of your woman parts. You should never put anything other than water inside.

The summers eve was honestly a hit or miss for me. I definitely noticed that if I did sweat it would have that slightly musty smell. But as long as I don't sweat, I didn't notice a problem. But, I stopped using summers ever and I am on the honey pot train, and I honestly don't see much of a difference between the two products in terms of my ph balance or smell. Their wipes are pretty good but I think I will just purchase honey pot wipes.

I’ve never used feminine soaps. I just use dove and in the past, I used ivory. I did use scented feminine wipes back in high school when I had my period. I didn’t have a problem back then. But baby wipes are way better for that. They’re wetter and unscented. I’m thinking about investing in a portable bidet though.

You have to use soap. A gentle soap. Water alone won't work and is unsanitary. You have to remove the sweat, bacteria and dead skin. Of course never use anything inside the vagina but you have to use soap on the outside areas. Gentle soaps like ivory unscented are great if you don't want to pay extra for vaginal soaps.
@crystalharris6661
@crystalharris6661 4 жыл бұрын
Jay Bee it is not unsanitary. Please stop spreading this. This is why the ladies bathroom always smell fishy. Use just water. Even gentle soap can disrupt pH. I’m tired of smelling y’all tbh
@jwalt1118
@jwalt1118 4 жыл бұрын
@@crystalharris6661 so all the sweat, bacteria (which loves warm and dark places) and dead skin on your bikini line and on the upper part of down there just below the belly are going to be cleaned away with just water? Okay. Hope you take that advice for your underarms, butt crack and the rest of your body. A mild soap is necessary to wash all of your body and your hair. Water alone does not clean anything.
@crystalharris6661
@crystalharris6661 4 жыл бұрын
Jay Bee Are you an OBGYN? Have you looked at any scientific studies or journals? Keep on trying to mask that smell sweetie but don’t spread false info to others. Your lady parts will forever rely on things to smell nice. The yeast infections and BV y’all be getting is what’s unsanitary. But go off...
@jwalt1118
@jwalt1118 4 жыл бұрын
@@crystalharris6661 nobody said to mask any smell. Cleaning something is different from masking a smell. You pee everyday and you see your period multiple days out of each month (for some women) so you're saying that the waste, sweat and dirt will be cleaned away with just water? Do you realize that makes no sense? Most gentle soaps are unscented and used for cleaning purposes alone. Ladies you need to clean the outer areas of your nether regions. Ensure that your bikini lines, the area right under your stomach and the area that separates your vagina from your anus are cleaned daily. Bacteria, esp from your anus can move from that region and enter your vaginal area. Sweat causes smells and also makes it a breeding ground for bacteria. To prevent infections and jock itch etc clean the outer areas of your vagina with mild soap, it's best unscented. Again, never put anything into the vaginal canal but always make sure your skin outside is cleaned thoroughly. Water alone cannot remove bacteria, sweat, blood, pee or anything else that lives in warm, dark and damp areas.
@jwalt1118
@jwalt1118 4 жыл бұрын
Also, remember to clean the outer areas of your vagina with mild soaps after sex as well. If you experience any off smells, remember to contact your doctors. Know the smell of your vagina. And ensure to clean the outer areas with mild soaps daily to kill bacteria, remove old skin and sweat and ensure you are fully dry before getting dressed. Don't listen to anyone telling you to wash a part of your body that sweats and gets dirty with water alone (unless somehow directed to do so by a doctor). Don't use water alone for your hair, face or body.

Fatumata Gumaneh You think that you know what you’re talking about, but I’m gonna need you to stop while you’re ahead, nothing goes inside the vagina but unscented sensitive skin dove soap was literally recommended to be by my doctor. I have used it all of my life and have never had any issues with my vagina.

I have never tried Summer's Eve. I am wary of a lot of these types of products. I find soap and water work just fine. Especially mild non-perfumed soap. Also as others have stated, wear cotton underwear.

You indeed need soap down there, your cooter has skin just like the rest of your body mainly the labia majora. Sweat, discharge, dead skin cells is all having a party down there the longer you don't shower. You don't just use water to wash the rest of your body so your cooter should have the same respect. Mild soaps with zero fragrance and zero irritants are the way to go to prevent ph imbalance and infections. Mind you I'm not saying shove the mild soap up there, only wash the outside. Anything up there that needs to come out eventually will because of gravity so don't mess with it.

I use dove beauty bar to clean down there along with water. Rinse ever everywhere down there excluding my VAGINA. So between my lips, flaps, clitoral hood etc etc but dove beauty bar dries me out soo bad. I’m gonna try dove sensitive skin bar soap, and if that doesn’t work, I’m going to try honey pot. Pricey but I’ve heard nothing but good reviews.

Hi I learned a lot of this because of the changes my body went through once I had my daughter . I been seen my doctor since I moved from New York to Mass and my doctor has gone up from a child’s physician , to working with adults and later becoming an obgyn . Her and her husband are both doctors and they are more into the natural things . Anyways I began to have issues with perfume soaps & ended up getting vaginal infections .. yeast infection etc …. Sometimes I went to urgent care and those doctors didn’t know what they were talking about .. So from there on I try just to call my obgyn and schedule an appt .. and one thing she said to me is that woman need to breath down there .. and keep that area dry . perfume soaps are not good she said .. or putting nothing down there .. so she said to me try every month during the week sit in baking soda in your tub or apple cider vinegar .with water to prevent infection down there . She said don’t use powder s. Don’t use perfume soaps and at night try to sleep without underwear to get some air in that area . She also told me make sure you buy a good probiotics .. she also said in hot weathers or when you go to the gym or for a run .. try not to stay in wet sweaty clothing .. because that’s how you get yeast infections … One of my friends from Church was told she might have ovarian cancer because she was dealing with all these issues . So I told her to try to clean her tub and put some baking soda or apple cider vinegar in her warm water and sit there for a bit .. and she did about twice a day .. and she began to feel better and when she went back to her doctors everything came back negative .. thank the Lord .. My pastor also suggested this .. and it works .. -So baking soda or apple cider vinegar in your your tub at least once or twice a week to keep your PH level normal .. fights all kind of vaginal and yeast infections .. -go to a natural store and get yourself a good probiotics . - stay away from perfume soaps ,pads or powders And also during your cycle use pads that have no perfumes .. try to change it and not stay on it too long .. and have wipes that have no perfumes to clean yourself .. make sure also your toilet paper at home has no perfumes as well … Hope this help it help me and a lot of ladies I know . God bless you …

Yeah I stopped using Summers Eve 10 years ago and it was not for me and really jacked up my PH. I stopped using anything specific and kept it simple with soap. Also, for 10 years I haven’t had any yeast infections or BV and think it was the culprit. I just got the honey pot two days ago so it’s funny you made this. Going to just use while on my period though to not take any chances. Good to let people know just for people who don’t associate it with that.

Honestly I feel like most of everything now days is just false advertising. I’m always itchy i suffer with this all the time, but it’s never a yeast infection or anything when I get checked on, for any of you sensitive ladies be careful most of any brand is false advertising but I will try the honey pot out and hopefully something works for me, tired of trying so many soaps and being itchy for a week or 2

I thought I am the only one having the same problem using summers eve. When I saw the IG story from a doctor that I followed giving a warning not to use it, I was alarm and now when I watch this you give me confirmation to really not to use it. Although I stop using it may be a month already and now just using my regular soap. But I want to try that sensitive honey pot too. I'm wondering if they have in Walmart.

Try to use the dr bronners lavender Castile soap. Only use It externally and make sure to dilute It. It keeps smells away down there. It is embarrassing but a lot of us females go through these issues. I have been wanting to try the honey pot but I have heard people say It burns.
