Was there the 4th of July weekend last year! Didn’t get to see so much of Summerville as we kept going to Charleston for sightseeing. So thank you as now I can see some of Summerville that I missed during our stay there. Grandson went to a Navy Nuclear School for about 18 months. So we were there for his graduation. But I’m liking the rest of Summerville thru you!! Thanks!!

Once the gates started to go down: TVCTA Rail Train 2884 bound for Mount Pleasant with F40PH 479 leading, 6 Comet 7 coaches, 1 multilevel from NJT, and 1 Comet I Cabcar 5122 from NJT Trailing went through that crossing. A total of 8 coaches, running local, skipping the Summerville stop. Many TVCTA Rail Trains with 4 or 5 coaches from NJT, MARC, or TVCTA Rail, stop there often. More than 5, they skip that stop. At 30:10, to your left, you can see my former place that I got laid off work due to a new manager!

You got over that crossing just in the nick of time. It’s not long before the train is there once those gates are fully in the down position. I’ve seen dozens upon dozens of trains at the Main Street crossing and lots of close calls with pedestrians and motorists. Trains travel through Summerville at roughly 50 mph, which makes it very difficult for them to stop in less than a mile. Please be careful around railroad tracks.

was hoping you would have gone down Trolley Road to Dorchester, maybe next time you are in summerville from a former resident stuck in new england

It would be nice to see the outskirts of Summerville! Not to far from the city but just away from the noise. Great video

Are you planning on doing the full route of I-526? It’s a very eventful highway
@MileageMikeTravels4 жыл бұрын
I got footage of it while I was there but under poor lighting conditions. Ended up getting caught in a massive traffic backup on one of the bridges for about an hour or so. I'll be going over the footage in the coming days to decide if I want to use it or wait to film it again next time I'm in the area.

Really? That sucks. I wouldn’t expect something like a lighting problem on your channel because the videos are in such good quality. Btw, there are so many interesting highways in the Charleston area, like the James Island Expressway, the Isle of Palms Connector, and my favorite, the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge. I don’t live there, but I visited Charleston for the first time over the summer, and it was a magnificent stay!

But you shouldn’t have pulled forward when the lights flashed and the gates were going down. You could have gotten hit by the gate.
