Though I listened to him a lot, Kenny Davern has remained somewhat of a mystery to me until I realised listening to him on this recording how much he is actually indebted to Omer Simeon. Thanks for digging out this beautiful performance!

Yes…Kenny had turned me on to Omer as well as others (like Irving Fazola and Frank Teschemacher) when I was younger and trying to learn what I could about this music. Kenny was so great ❤️
