It's an 'everything' game. Except that none of it really works, it's all glitchy and shit but it is impressive none the less. I just wished they smoothed it out so all the desync and weird bugs are gone and I would actually really like it, but right now its still in Alpha and it feels like an Alpha.

The main issue is due to the vast game world and the massive number of objects it's needs to track, due to this, the servers are constantly overloaded and essentially lag, the solution is to divide the game world up into smaller areas with a server handling smaller regions for better load and much smoother gameplay, the only problem is than the player count would also be limited and we would not have an MMO. That's why they pretty much spent the last decade developing the nescessary server technology they need to make the game servers mesh dynamically in a way that is completely seamless with players and objects moving without any boundaries or obstacles. Only than can you have a seamless mass multiplayer world with tens of thousands, potentially even more in a single game world across the many star systems they want to implement. The end vision goal is towards that massive multiplayer world, a true MMO without limits, however the technoloy they need is not there, therefor they have essentially been stuck in this narrow place where a lot of the bugs and dysynch is there, but there is little they can do to fix it. @@masterchiff6784

@@icanspelle6050 a few bits, but nothing immense, but even if the update has just been master modes and the new UI it would still be huge. I’m not a full time player. In its current state it’s fun for a few months after a big patch, then I usually uninstall and play other things until the next patch. But the experience is so much better since his patch so I’ll probably stick around. Haven’t had to do my typical big work arounds since the patchz Like quantum jumping.. actually works 100% of the time! Obviously there’s still bugs. But it’s taken a massive step! Honestly, if release ever comes, I only think it’ll be crazy long. Even think we might get S42 this year

Not exactly. SOT only let's you buy skins and cosmetics with in-game money. In Star Citizen you can buy really cool ships, tanks, weapons etc. And when you log back into the server next time you still have your stuff.
