which company did you book through? Looks class, keen to do it this year!

Thanks! Best of luck for it - it’s great fun. I’m thinking of doing Kazbek next in Georgia…

Great video. Thanks for taking the efforts of filming! I'm hoping to do it in March-April 2024. Is it common to have snow on the route at this time of the year? I'm really surprised that your guide made you climb down that exposed snowy route without crampons and ice axe!

Hello! We did it on the 23rd of April and you can see there is some snow, according to our guides at the time this is typical. When we climbed down we were wearing crampons, and we had poles to arrest in case we slipped. I think the wide lens of the GoPro also exaggerates the gradient perhaps! Don’t get me wrong it is steep but not dangerously so, in my opinion. Have a great time sir!

Hey! I do this in just under a week now and very nervously excited. The stars! I can't wait for that at the refuge. One question, are the head torches supplied ? Can you rent? Haha thanks amazing.

Hi! It’s a real adventure, I’m sure you’ll have a great time. The head torches, poles, crampons and even coats are all available to hire in Imlil. You have the option to load the equipment on a mule if you don’t want to carry it. I think for the poles and crampons I hired it was 500 dirham.

@@Luke_Duggan Nice we are there in September, just wondering about the snow / ice in the valley towards the top.. I’m guessing most will be gone by September 🤷🏻♂️

@@nigelcongram7904 Excellent! The guides that we had said that September / October are the best months for it, because you can do it without crampons - bit less of a hassle. It's a great trip, enjoy it!

@@Luke_Duggan June! How cold was it when you went at the top?
@Luke_Duggan2 ай бұрын
It was about -10°C on the climb, and being steep you’re not cold, but by the time the sun was up it was lovely. Almost warm!

Hi, do you have to bring your own sleeping bag to the refuge or does it have duvets?
@Luke_Duggan Жыл бұрын
Hello, they recommended that we did but to be honest, you don’t sleep well there and I just slept in my clothes and jacket. There’s no duvet’s supplied at the refuge.
