Absolutely brilliant Trev and Nath! Amazed you guys didn't end up in the 'Banshee' together considering the very bad wind and rain. I've only recently discovered your channel and wanted to say how much I'm enjoying watching your exploits. It's been 30 years since I wild camped on Dartmoor (military) but I'm hopefully going to get back up there this year. All the very best in your adventures!

Haven't heard it before but at 31.30 minutes when the two of you are chatting about Vango products, just as Trev is going to talk, has anyone else heard the childs voice on the recording? Very quite. Spooky. X Love these long videos X Take Care X
@SummitOrNothing7 жыл бұрын
JENNIFER MILLARD Haha. .. I hate to put a downer on the spooky element but I think it's a lapse in the editing. Sounds like an echo ot nath to me. My bad

Excellent. Watching all three episodes in one was even better than watching all three episodes separately! At 25.46 (or thereabouts) Nath refers to catching his beard in his jacket and that it was wearing a bit thin. I hope he wasn't referring to his beard (wearing thin). Ha Ha. On a serious note, does Nath put a ground cloth down underneath his bivy bag, does he put his sleeping mat inside his bivy bag and does he get troubled by slugs, snails and other creepy crawlies? Do either of you use ear plugs when the wind is blowing and the rain is falling?
@SummitOrNothing7 жыл бұрын
Haha - He's just a bit thin on top but his beard is plentiful lol. I think he just puts his mat down and sleeps in his bivvy on top of that. We were asked about ear plugs before by someone else actually and we both said how we woukld rather put up with the wind than try sleeping with things in our ears. Well, thanks for watching, Ken, and really glad you enjyed it again. Atb mate. Trev!

Great video guy’s, easy question, in your earlier videos you were using the Mirage 200 tent and now you are in a banshee 200, why the change, the mirage looked a bigger tent? My/our 1st wild camp last year we had driving rain and 40mph winds, the banshee stood up strong👍
@SummitOrNothing7 жыл бұрын
Nath had the mirage before I owned a tent - so when I bought I chose the banshee as its a slightly smaller tent - Nath has gone down the tarp route. Yeah, the banshee is a cracking little tent. We certainly put it to the test with this camp. Thanks for watching!

Question : On the Map at the end of the video , there were several ''Danger Areas'' marked in Red , but nothing to state what the 'Dangers' were . So , what are those 'Dangers' ? --- Thanks in advance for any replies .
@SummitOrNothing3 жыл бұрын
That is military training zones. Before hiking into that area you check the firing times online. Most if the time it's fine to pass, but there is also red flags on top of tors to let you know too
@001desertrat33 жыл бұрын
@@SummitOrNothing -- Thank You for the reply . I kind of thought it might be something like that , because on other videos of Dartmoor I've seen several MOD HUTS scattered around the Moors . Although I live in the USA , I'm VERY interested in Dartmoor as the area in the far North of the Park around Cosdon Hill & Beacon is my Ancestral Homeland dating back to the 10th Century , and the Hill actually carries our Family Name .

I need to get myself a OS map... Where abouts did you park your car.?

Sourton Church carpark. It seems to be our starting point for a lot of that area!

Summit Or Nothing Ah I See... Iv driven past there hundreds of times with work! You ever been in the Highway Man Pub? Thats one weird looking place lol, not been in there myself.
@SummitOrNothing7 жыл бұрын
Yea - it is a weird looking place. I've never been in there either, though. Don't know why. We often go for a pint after our walks. Next time we are there we shall have to check it out!

We done men, a night out in tough conditions is character building. The rain sounds dont really bother me, even when it gets heavy. But the wind buffering, I think because there is no rhythm to it, make it difficult to sleep. I liked the distance/time/speed analysis at the end...what device are you using?

I was going to write that I had run out of witty or wise comments. But fear not, I did think if something to say. Sad to say it's not witty or wise. Nath, your pack with the sleeping pad hanging off to the right is bothering me. I think it would be be more aesthetically pleasing if you hung it horizontal under your pack. If you made that change, your viewership would probably soar. Big time. Then the big sponsorships would start rolling in. Then you could have your own bunny farm, if you know what I mean. Cheers
