Watching this again Trevor, it might seem a bit wierd to you but I find it calming and comforting in a way, maybe because when I originally saw it I'd just discovered your chanel and your videos always made me smile/laugh/feel like I'm there etc.....feeling low at the moment and these help calm my nerves, thanks boys for letting us join you on your travels♥️♥️

Good vid. Get a titanium windshield or make your own from aluminium tray, cut and fold to size, should fit in your pot. Makes hell of a difference to efficiency and contains any flames if that's a worry.

Hi New subscriber. Started watching your channel because of Nath using a tarp and you not panicking when you appear to be lost. Tryfan being a good example. I want to start wild camping using a tarp. So question for Nath. If you peg all points of tarp and lower the pitch are tarps as stable a a tent? Question for you both? If you had not met those people on Tryfan would you of hunkered down until visibility improved to allow you to calculate your position. Would also like to say I enjoy your Dartmoor tales Love the videos 🔥
@SummitOrNothing3 жыл бұрын
Thabks for commenting, Kenneth! (a year ago i admit... I miss the occasional comments I'm afraid) I think the tarps are fairly decent and yea a little more stability when lower I reckon. And perhaps now we would think a little more wisely about our actions on a mountain, back then we probably would have kept blindly walking!

I watched the whole trip in parts and now the full length video. I'm not going to comment. I really enjoy the views of the patch work of fields. In all your video's I don't remember seeing that many sheep before. (Insert lame joke about lonely hikers and sheep.) The friends banter! You lads need to do some bushcraft cooking. Catch a goo goo? Can you translate to American. Good thing I didn't comment.
@SummitOrNothing6 жыл бұрын
Yea we keep talking about bushcraft cooking, maybe one day we will get round to it. Catch a goo goo was a pop band from the eighties I think, that has somehow found it's way into our vocabulary.... translates as : catch you later... I know. Weird ain't we?

Just been back over this vid and looked at the comments. Can't believe no one mentioned those suspect fireworks? That would be an Infantry Unit of exercise, firing weapons and other devices. If you had left the tent I recon you would may have seen skyrocket flares falling from the night sky attached to parachutes

Another bit of Dartmoor Envy from watching this video - very enjoyable. Trev, how tall are you? I'm wondering if the Cloud Up 2 would be a squeeze for someone 6ft 2?
@SummitOrNothing6 жыл бұрын
O Shaun... i know what you mean it gives me Dartmoor envy too (been too long). Im 5' 11"and it was quite roomy for me... especially compared to the banshee. Didn't feel as though I was cramped up at all... but then I do sleep on the foetal position.

Enjoyed the full length video were your guys packs under a basweight of 4.5kg lol. And did you make that Dartmoor Legend up, fancy blaming the pixies I wonder what I could blame the pixies for. Could always tell me misses that I had to stay out on Dartmoor another night the pixies made me. Take care guys. Cheers Karl
