I know a mouse outside your tent can make you think a squirrel is out there. A racoon sounds like a bear after dark. A moose playing and eating 50 meters away sounds like you are about to get trampled. Can't imagine what I would think of a pony trying to eat my tent sounds like. One thing I love about your videos lately is your calm cool navigation skills. 5 years ago you were like "I'm pretty sure we're on Dartmoor," to now "I'll be camping on that Tor hidden by the mist." And then you just walk off and end up just where you wanted to. Very very good. Cheers!

I thought that was the headless horseman for a sec! Lol great video. So I’ve used the cloud peak 2 twice now in still conditions and completely agree with the points you raised regarding the door flapping inwards. I got wet in the lakes from the moisture on the outside of the tent because of this and yes also got the mesh wet. The zips also do snag unless your careful with them also had this on the cloud up 2 apart from that great tents hopefully Naturehike can modify the next version. I’ve got the pump sack for the UL80 and had the same problem, couldn’t get air in it. Dave
@SummitOrNothing3 жыл бұрын
Yea - teh cloud peak's faults are a little frustrating, think they may have changed the door now already, to be honest. Hey Trev, brilliant video as always! Waiting for the first snow here in Berlin. You can actually use your breath to inflate the Pump Sack. If you leave about 30-40cm between your mouth and the bag, than you will create a air stream with you breath that blows the air around into the sack, therefore you wont get the condensation from your breath in but more the air sorrounding you. Hope my explanation was understandable, english is not my native language.😅 Great Video with the co star pony!

Recently I've been tweaking my packing. 1 - Sleeping bag and mat ALWAYS first thing in, dead bottom of the pack 2 - night clothes and puffy, especially if I'm not really planning on long stops before camp time 3 - next is food and cookset, again, especially if I'm not planning on making a long lunch stop 4 - tent; if overnight, then a single dry bag, but if two or more nights, inner and fly go into different drybags (pegs go in pack lid; poles go in pack side mesh pocket) 5 - last thing to go in is the shell, if I'm not wearing it, so I can grab it quickly if heavens open. this way I have the essential (shelter) right there when I need it

Nice video! I roll the pillow in with my mat, it saves 2 grams of the bag 😂

Hi Trev, great film again I have yet to venture to Dartmoor as I'm closer to the peak district. I use the same Naturehike tent all year round and tend to pack the tent and poles separately as you can easily squash the tent into a 10ltr stuff sack. Really like your ghostly tales.

Great advice, Paul. Shall probably start doing the same at some point, myself. Thanks for watching

How noisy in the mat you are using Trev? Squeaky Central?

As I said in the vid, I didnt think it was too bad to be honest.
