Honestly this was just a mercy kill for the Ancient Gear SD, it not being to have Spell/Trap removal except with the limited MST. We can definitely improve the series next season by pulling packs that support the archetypal Structure Decks so we're not limited to counter. Traditional format banlist, of course.

In all honesty, the fans dont even know what they want. In the video you referenced with Seereax, they said they want Sam to stick with the rules even if it's one sided. Now on this video, they want to do the opposite because he sticked with the rules and it became boring. It's basically a lose-lose situation for Sam it seems lol, everyone just dislikes him for whatever reason. Even with Seereax, he has been fine with some questionable decisions Seereax made. Even when Seereax was laughing and breaking lots of rules, Sam was basically fine with it. People making fun of him is all fine, but it gets really boring if he gets complaints all the time regardless what he''s doing.

It's not like Rhyme would have won anyway because he didn't even have his boss monster. Gravity Bind was an extra layer of bullshit on the already hardcore floodgate that is the rule for winning a duel. OP pointed out the hypocrisy and you're here defending Sam's hypocrisy. I'm more inclined to believe that YOU don't even know what's going on and what the fans want.

You guys whined about Sam breaking the rules to have a more fair duel. You guys claimed it doesnt matter if it's one sided, stick with the rules. The purpose of the tournament is to showcase which themed deck is the superior one at the end. Trying to make it fair would ruin the premise. Now you guys whine about Sam sticking with the rules and playing to win within the rules to showcase which themed deck is the superior one out of the two. Be consistent with what you want. The only consistenty right now isnt about the rules but the fact you dont like Sam having the upperhand against the three idiots. Rhyme literally had the out against the Gravity Bind but he wasted on something pointless before Sam drew the card. Rhyme even told everyone at the start that he should only use his MST on Gravity Bind and nothing else. Both participants were aware of the card Gravity Bind and Rhyme was totally fine with the card and had a counter measure against it. You guys are so biased, it's just pathetic to see.

There is a card that is effectively Ultimate Offering in the game albeit somewhat limited. They coudl have put that in Rhyme's deck to replace Ultimate Offering. Ultimeat Offering (yes that's the name) does everything Ultimate Offering did albeit limited to 3 normal summons but that's more than enough for Rhyme's deck to function.

Gravity binds aside, this was a very lopsided matchup to begin with. Old school machines could do very little besides normal summon and pass without cards like ultimate offering while water had floaters and even a board wipe. Though, Rhyme also didn't do himself any favors by having that ancient gear burn card at 3 copies...

I normally enjoy these videos, but this one did leave me underwhelmed. We go back and forth on if Sam's deck building should focus on making a video more entertaining, or if it should stick strictly to the rules. I think either way *can* work, but I just wish he was more consistent. As it is, it seems like it changes based on what benefits him - regardless of if he wins or not - and it just makes me roll my eyes. We only saw Gravity Bind at the end of the video, so I don't think that's the problem here - despite him focusing on it during deck building. It more just feels like the energy he has is "Oh, it's one-sided against the other guy? Hahaha, I'm winning! Yaaay!". Which surely that's not how he actually feels, but it reads like that. I think that's why most people get upset, despite saying it's something else.

Can I suggest a machine revolt's list that could be better?
