Thank you, Hiro, for showing such a special ceremony of Hokutoumi's 60th birthday! 🎊 It's amazing he remembers the movement and forms of the Yokozuna ring entering! Also, thank you for showing Konishiki san's interview! I hope we can see his 60th birthday ceremony, too! I can't wait for the September tournament! 😀

Thanks for showing what Hokutoumi was like in his active years. Active in Konishiki days. I've only known him as a stern-looking official in black. I'd love to go back to the older video and find out more about his active matches. Congrats. Hope we get to see more of him. Good to see Hokutofuji & retired Okinoumi. Congrats to Hokutofuji's record making basho in July. I will be joining the crowd at Kokugikan coming next week.

In case you are wondering why the 綱 tsuna is red. The 60th birthday is a big celebration in Japanese culture. Your Chinese zodiac sign (animal+element) repeats every 60 years, so it's like you are born again. People usually wear something red for this occasion, representing that you are "akachan" 赤ちゃん, baby again. :D God bless Hakkaku san!

Tradition and respect is why I love sumo. Over here in the states the rules of sports change all the time. Players don’t respect other players and are constantly showboating and being disrespectful. Sumo still don’t allow women on the dohyo. I appreciate and admire those types of traditions being upheld in the face of modern day criticism!

I have always enjoyed watching sumo from back when I was a kid in the 90s rooting for Akebono, Musashimaru, and Konishiki since I'm from Hawaii.
