@@viocaia Why did those pop? I know the mosfets in the grid tie inverter from eBay have always had horrible quality control issues that causes the fets to burn out. First thing I always do, for a decade now, for any electrical item from China is tear it down to make sure the connections are right. Doesn't matter as I have had fire potential power supplies sent to me via Amazon with screws rolling around inside. Not only check to see if they are tight but they use a TIM of some kind (either grease or a pad) as that is another thing they love to cheat on. Finally when a product does pop (when the time comes as when, not if) I purchase real quality mosfets from Mouser, or Digi-Key etc... (I forgot the one you have in Europe that is a big name of real semiconductors not knockoffs).

@@generalawareness101 Conrad in Germany ..it's great! This inverter came from UK, thru an english company..my fault it was i didn't checked like you said..it was no kind of thermal paste applied ..just a pink isolator..probably this days because of hot summer temperature combined with extensive use of AC..boom! I already find some transistors in my junk box, replaced those burned and hopefully it's alive..I don't have a min 24V power supply around to check but sun it's coming up soon!

@@viocaia Yep, either loose, no screw, or just nothing there as a tim so no heat really get transferred, and it burns up. Summer here as well with 35c-40c temps they just can't get rid of the heat and POP.

Hi. It's very hard to see/hear in the video which transistors went bad, and you don't mention the part numbers. Is it QS1 and QS2? What's the part numbers in your devices? Thank you in advance.

Might be worth to mention that you should be aware of the full capacitors and that it might be better to wait quite a while before opening that case.

Hi Viorel, nice video as always. Mine still running, same Sun GTIL1000, haven’t done any improvement as well. It seems that even the heatsink for those Mosfets are too small and not directly in contact with the rest of alum body. So large area of heatsink are just for diodes on the back. I am thinking to add extra alum on top of current Mosfets’ heatsink but space-wise a bit tricky not to interfere with the LCD board. Btw is it all IRFB4227? Thanks and goodluck.
@viocaia
@viocaia 2 жыл бұрын
Most of them are 4227,,and you gave me a good ideea about better cooling..how stupid design, the back plate barely warm and the inside fan screaming under load..I will add some thermal pad to touch the front..
@RBMK--vj2rn
@RBMK--vj2rn 2 жыл бұрын
@@viocaia yes that’s true, diodes are perfectly cooled while the Mosfets inside are on fire 😄. Well it’s better if you can dissipate heat thru to the front cover. It is quite difficult to make a contact with the back alum cover unless you do something to modify main PCB, it is the heat transfer barrier.. indeed very smart design for 1-2 years lifetime 😄

HI, I have a SUN-1000GTIL2-WIFI and I couldn't set it up for the internet, always gives me offline. One question, is there software for Windows to view the data without going through the internet? if so which software? Thank you. Marco.

Hello Viorel, I've just order this inverter, hoping to install it for my parents for a small 250W panel. Do you know if the instructions also detail electrical safety instructions? Would I need to do anything in the electrical power box ? any new safety fuses needed?
@viocaia
@viocaia 2 жыл бұрын
I didn't install anything special, there are fuses inside already for both DC and AC output. All you have to do is to hook the sensor in the right position. But, like I do, it never hurts an extra caution, so I installed a box with 10Amps fuse in series with the inverter output...also consider a fuse within panels and DC input..depends on your wattage ..

@@viocaia Thanks for the response. like I said, I will be starting with just one 250W panel, maybe I will add one later. Most likely won't go over 500W since the heavy consumers don't run all the time. I'm trying to cover their daily consumption

Hello everyone! I got 2000W version and each day i´m performing a decreasing in power production. At beggining the max production was 1850Wp, and day by day it is decreasing the production by ~20W less everyday, now is producing max 950Wp. Anyone has same problem?

What I found kind of strange, my install it's like 1600W panels...I had peaks from SUN2000 like 1450W, so I know it's almost correct, but under really hot summer days, full sunshine though , the power went down around 950W...that's because the panels are overheating in the super hot summer sun. Nothing to do.
