Sun Princess Deluxe Balcony Tour | Is it a BIG Improvement?

These cabins are just absolutely gorgeous - they look so much bigger than the standard balcony cabins I’m more used to on the other Princess ships. I have to say - watching Linz playing with those lights - I couldn’t stop laughing 😂

They definitely seemed bigger inside too Fraser, we think it is clever use of space and furnishings rather than actually being much bigger, but they are lovely, and really well equipped too. Loads of USB sockets everywhere which was much appreciated. It wasn't the last time she had fun with the lights either. One night (middle of night, 3 am ish) she accidentally pulled out the reading light and it was like someone had switched on floodlights. it was like the scene from National Lampoons Christmas Vacation!

Loves lovely but I agree not sure how well it will wear. The shower looks perfect and lots of drawers for me to fill up!

time will tell on the colours and how they age Jo but right now, as new, they are lovely and we've had no issues with cupboard or drawer space at all. and wait till you get see the genius night light system. it makes those late night loo visits much easier, especially after a few cocktails 😂

So nice to see you so excited! Lovely cabin, and so glad they have NO shower curtains! Love a bar in the shower to put your foot on when shaving your legs. Gorgeous view! I’m embarking from Athens in September.

To open the balcony door, just use a little hip bump to break the seal, then pull. Same on Discovery Princess.😀

Wonderful video! I have seen cabins with the footstools the pull up and fit under the chairs. The first cabins that Princess made available to tour, I believe they had these. I suspect the lack of footstool is some kind of delay.

There was so much room in the wardrobes, cabinets and drawers Lynn. Much more so than on P&O and similar (if not a bit more) than what we had Don our longer Celebrity Apex transatlantic.

assuming that the beds can be configured as a twin....it appears that the light switches etc will be inaccessible behind the beds?

They can, and that is a great point, we know someone who was on there with a Twin set up, so we will ask and find out.

By chance does the sofa convert into a bed? Some cabins disappear when you select 4 guests. Would they really not have a sofa bed in each cabin?

It certainly did convert in our cabin. As far as we can tell every Deluxe balcony appears to have them and above that generally so too.

Very little motion at all, but then again the weather was very good, and we didn't have any rough seas to really challenge it. However we have been right at the front on Enchanted Princess in rough weather and that was still not bad either.
