The decor may be understated, but that can be a boon if your looking for some serenity. Some ship venues are too in your face and garish. I do like the fact that there are some shaded outdoor areas. David, those blue tinted dividers are meant as 1) a wind break and 2) a sun glare reducer. Nice tour, Lads.

My wife and I have just completed 19 days on the Sun Princess and in general it was a fantastic ship with a fantastic crew. The main downside was the stairwell & corridor areas on decks 9, 10, & 11 stunk like an ashtray and smoke from the Casino really spoilt what should have been a beautiful experience onboard. If you are sensitive to cigarette and cigar smoke you need to stay away from this ship as it was quite uncomfortable at times.

Lots of white paint in the interior. Some spaces had bright accents and looked nice. But, in my opinion, the main dining room with it's white tablecloths, bare white walls and modern chairs looked like an institutional cafeteria. Love your videos, keep up the good work.

My fiance and I are going on the Sun Princess next March for our honeymoon! So excited and love this full tour! One thing I love about this ship, apart from all of the outside spaces and gorgeous amenities, is that the shops are a little bit tucked away rather than on the main promenade/atrium space. I've only been on one other cruise, but many I've watched videos for have the shops right along the main gathering space which makes it feel a bit pushy and a little tacky in my opinion. And this is not against those who love to shop on cruise ships, I just think that we've spent all this money on this gorgeous cruise, and then to be pushed to spend more on products you might not necessarily need is a bit much.

It really is a lovely ship, on the inside. The profile viewing from the outside is like so many other new ships will take some getting use to in my opinion. All the relocated areas on the Sun Princess does not bother me as I will never sail on her as I like smaller ships but she is beautiful. However it reminds me of the movie Titanic where you have the lower class people shut out of the nicer areas. Part of the money grabbing mentality all the cruise lines seem to be going too. I can’t help remembering that movie when these cruise lines have so much space reserved for the rich and famous. You both do an outstanding job and are two of my favorite cruise personalities.

THE best new tour video of this ship yet. I love your channel. Their design is certainly relaxing, not as family oriented, not detracting from being at sea, while featuring modern entertainment venues. By the design bringing the sunlight, night sky and sea to us with every viewpoint window, we can appreciate natural beauty of the travel of a ship venue that way. The outdoor lounging looks spectacular, as well. I watch all the videos of this new ship, as we sail next week. I work in resort destination hotel spas for 27 years, from S.F. to the North SF Bay, to gorgeous Wine Country, Ca., so not attracted to the faux elegance like Las Vegas on our cruise. The point is to get out in resort mode, be at sea and then explore the ports, not revisiting the same predictable cruise branded decor at venues which even might also be pretty sometimes. I imagine you're happy to see them stay true to their market, you try very different ship brands, and the newest have been the best, like Virgin, more upscale ones. Many ships are like Disneyland which I intend to take our grandchildren on, but yeah, I'll take a Vegas trip over all the many bright lights and colorful carnival amusement looking ships.

As always I really enjoyed this tour and you mentioning about the wheelchair access was easy. I'd love to see a food compilation video of breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks on the different cruise ships. Thanks guys for another great video. It looked like O'Malleys bar could have been mistaken for the wheelhouse bar with the way it was set up. It is a little disappointing that none of the pools I saw on the video had stairs, with all opting for only ladders. Some people who may like to swim, are unable to climb out of the pools using ladders. other than that, the ship looks great.

We go to Italy often, so we grabbed a Spring "Grand" cruise from Rome to Spain & the French + Italian Riviera next week, because of the new designs, etc. I prefer variety to returning to the same "branded" decor/venues which seem dated for me, as I prefer more subtle, natural and modern design.

Ben and David, thank you very much for an honest tour of the Sun Princess. I already wanted to sail on her but now I want to even more! ❤ I'm sad to hear they've got the open doorways in the casino again on the Sun. They did the same thing on the most recent Royal class ships and it made it hard to sit in certain areas of the Piazza. Are doors on the casino really that hard to do? Are there stampedes of gamblers trying to get in or something? Anyway, I'm excited about the rest of the ship, although I'm not sure I'll adapt to the buffet being on deck 9. What's all that about?
