What "drug" thing? The heart medication? That has been UN-BANNED from the substance list since then. The vial-smashing because the sample collectors had fake credentials, and one of whom was illegally present because he was only a construction worker and a "friend" of the supposed sample collectors? Still no evidence of any "drug" thing. That's why ALL of Sun Yang's records and gold medals still stand even to this day.

Commentator says the bilateral breath before the turn is to check out Cochrane. Not so. He's taking extra breaths to limit the oxygen debt through the turns. Brilliant strategy. Small time cost at each turn, but probably more than compensated for by having extra gas between the walls and especially as the race goes on.

And another interesting thing is he only does 1 butterfly kick after he turns unlike other swimmers doing 2 or 3, plus what u said before, this gives him a great oxygen storage benefits

T I is just a way for unbalaced swimmers to learn balance in the water. it's not a "different" technique of some sort, it's just like a catch up drill...But they decided to transform it into some "new way of swimming" lol...sun yang uses a hip driven technique, what fascinates me is that his powerful kicks come right after initiating the catch, which is something we are not accostumed to see, normally the powerful kicks either in 2 beat 4 beat or 6 beat kick, come at the end of the pull..

height is surely helps, but actually helps more for the short range competition, for the long range one, a lot of swimmer actually smaller than sprinting swimmer, but basically at long range technique is play a larger part than else, so either small swimmer or tall guy can do well

"a lot of people think he's cheating" no doubt he is. he tested positive in 2014 so when he smashed the vial, he didn't deserve the benefit of the doubt. and lmfao at the idea of a middle distance swimmer in their prime at 36. the 200 is finally progressing after the stagnation of the finals times since 2012. there were 3 swimmers who were faster than sun yang last year, the oldest one being danas rapsys, a 25 yo who went faster than sun yang's life time best. the 400 will simply be too long for sun yang at that age. his grounds for appeal (which in itself is an appeal of the result of an appeal) are flimsy, as they are solely his shitty translator who he hired. sun yang is done

Taking what you said into consideration, if you swam against Sun Yang in this race and had double the amount of strokes that of Sun you should of passed him breaking the world record yourself BUT that is impossible therefore contradiction to your original assumption. It is possible for a slower stroke to beat a faster one if he uses the angle and the power put on pulling the water more efficiently.

I can't wait for him to recover and compete in Paris2024. What happened was unfair. Though he could have reacted better but it's frustrating. Those who went to his house was not able to present proper identification and one of which was just a plumber. It's okay if it's just urine but there are needles involve to take his blood. You don't allow just anyone to do that. The Australians was caught doping but they were only penalized for 12 months.

Two things amazed me: 1. Sun Yang barely kicked his legs, just dragging along compared with other competitors who was kicking vigorously! But he still leading all the swimmers! 2. After a long tiring swim, he still can speed and acheived 25.9 second for the last 50 meter! This is contributed by his inherited body shape, hard work and excellent technique! Unfortunately his acheivements not recognized by the westerner especially America government! Try all their best to put him in dopping and banned him! What an wicked world!
