“Lots of people are going to lose their jobs” No problem because this magnificent Tory government made sure, throughout its 14 years reign, that the benefit system will help them and they won’t face any hardship until they find a new job. The tories claim to be a compassionate party so I’m absolutely sure they’ll have all the support they need. Going to food banks, losing homes, not being able to put the heating on, all of that is for the lazy scroungers!

Reversing some of the anti trade union and anti working peoples rights in general, seems to me to be a good thing. The thought here though seems to be that Labour needed to "get the bad news out of the way" for fear of upsetting the oligarchy. I'm not a regular Cons voter but deplore the nastiness being heaped on Rishi Sunak by his own party. What a disloyal bunch. Rishi saved this country from the ruinous Liz Truss who, with her friend and fellow privileged delusionist, Kwarteng, wrecked the economy. My mortgage went up from a regular £119 pcm to £480 at the peak. On an OAP income, this has been dire. And I'm one of MILLIONS who have struggled. I used no electric heating in the winter (blankets, hot water bottles & some wood fires only)...rare electric cooker cooking.....For heaven's sake do zip it up, Tories. You've had your time, mucked up a great deal. Let's hope someone else gets a chance. to see if they can re-balance our country, to something fairer. There are millions who've made millions, somehow, by fair means or foul, who knows, INCLUDING the executive of the privatised companies ..and the rest of Britain.
